Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

My wife says good thing comes to those who wait. Here, get yourself some Oreo (double stuffed) Big Grin
https://www.amazon.com/Oreo-Doubl...B0062Q5W54

To sideload with a PC, you prepare the phone and PC so that they can "make love" to each other by installing the appropriate drivers (if needed) and use ADB to sideload the file. There are many guides out there. Google or PM me for details.

Sprint sims never expire, are independent of mvno or Sprint, and can always be reused.
BUT ONLY in phones for which they are an approved sim.

There are about 30 sim part numbers and if you look at https://help.ting.com/hc/en-us/ar...r-SIM-Card you will see a chart showing whch sims work in which phones. You may be able to use that chart to figure out which unlabeled old sim parts you already have on hand to some extent.

Sprint activates only by IMEI, not by sim. I can see where somebody might word that (incorrectly) as "Sprint does not care about sims" BUT the sim in the phone must be an approved sim for that phone. The sims have completely different capabilities that control features on the phone. I never saw anyone say any old sim would work but I could have missed a post. If anyone did say that, they are woefully misinformed. Actually iPhone sim parts have shown some longevity so maybe they were referring to those. But those too are changing now for the latest iPhones.

I get 3-4 days from Twigby but I am close by.

You can buy sims with complete confidence if you buy locally by sim part number off the Ting chart. Do not rely on the store sales person to know which sim you need - some of them could not care less if they sell you the right sim or not. - they just guess to save their time.
I tried to find out where twigby is before ordering to see if my shipping would be faster. How can I determine if I'm "close by?" Thanks!

The wording under the "order/activation" subsection on the community wiki makes me think that I can get the sim from anywhere else (not Sprint online) and still go through the activation process via the 1yearfree link. Is this the case or do I need to call CS. Not sure if relevant, but I have a Nexus 6P.

I don't have a phone number (but I need to port a number to be eligible for this offer). What is the easiest and not too costly option for me to get on this offer. Btw, I have an eligible phone that's unlocked.

You have to call if you are bringing your own sim because the online process includes the purchase of a sim and will not proceed until you do so.

Call the 8777 number that specializes in this offer. Do not call Customer Service as they do not understand all the details of this special offer.

Twigby is in Tennessee or Georgia (I forget which the mailings came from) but I would not worry too much about delay. I have not see it take much more that 4 days from Twigby as reported by posters all over the country.

Signed up for one line, porting from Total wireless. Took about 30 minutes on phone for all said and done. Number ported within 20 minutes, can make calls. LTE is showing up on phone, but data is not working, getting message that cellular service not active. Do I need to change any settings? I am using iPhone 6s+.

Thanks.

You can get Google Voice number and port it out for $3 or you can buy a TMoble "number for porting" on EBay for a little more. Search on Ebay for "tmobile number for porting".

Thank you! BTW, the metropcs acct I'm leaving is not under my name, is that a problem? I will be leaving the family plan by myself. I do have the acct# and password needed though.

Ported in google voice number for new line. Now moved my old number from MVNO to Google voice. Is there any way to swap in the google voice number without voiding my free year? Am I stuck using google voice forwarding option?

Do an online chat and they will send the service update to your phone. I think the term is Provisioning and then right after that my phone did a PRL update. Everything has been working fine since then.
