Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I'm planning to do the promo via the website for one phone and have the sim shipped to my address. Once I do this and decide to add a second line via the 877 #, can I choose to ship the second sim to a different address?
Easier to buy the 2nd SIM from somewhere else then call the 8777 number to activate it

Yes, if the second line is for another authorized user on the account (assuming you are the account owner).

Tried to apply online. Credit check needed more info. Told me to call 8777 # to continue. Will there be a problem getting the promo from them over the phone if I don't have the sim card yet or is it identical to online just as long as I don't sign up in store?
The latter - identical to online.
But best get the sim card elsewhere first (or wait for it to arruive if already ordered) as posted by others.
It cannot be completed without the sim card.

Agh. I don't want to call right now. Probably tomorrow. Are there any people that actually went through the whole process online without having to call in because of the credit check thing? My credit is around 760. I don't think that is bad.

That score in excellent!
Whole categories of people are told to call in, including, it seems, anybody who ever had a Sprint account in the past. It's not a credit level issue, just an identity confirmation policy.

Of the 5 accounts I've been involved in either setting up, or helping set up, 3 of them were completely done online without any phone calls, and the other 2 required calling in for the credit part. None required going to a sprint store.

8777 number in wiki is the only dept that can handle free lines -- "I have a Sprint account with free 1yr service and I want to add another line to it"

Call took about half hour -- 10 mins to add the line, 15 mins waiting for Metro port to finish, 5 mins to config phone & having phone rep call me to confirm its working properly

The rep was friendly and wanted to make sure everything was working properly so the call lasted that long -- I could've waited for the port to finish and config the phone on my own but I just rolled with it

Port all the numbers out and add them all back into a BYOB plan under a new SSN for that 1/31/2018 extension Wink

Total cost: $0.01 H2O sims on Amazon [amazon.com], 1 credit check
Yes total cost for the sim card is only $. 01 but I think you have to fund your account and use it for 3-5 days so they will generate an account number and pin for you.

Desi did this recently, maybe he can chime in or people who are interested can scroll a few pages back for his compendious summary.

Yes -- just make sure you have a compatible SIM for the new phone

You can try using the "activate a device" option from your online account to swap the phone but that's never worked for me -- you can do a chat and tell them you want to do a "device swap"

Started service with an unlocked Moto G4 in Sept -- swapped it last month for a locked Sprint Galaxy S8 (month left for them to unlock)

Added another line yesterday using the G4 -- did a chat today to swap it with a locked Essential phone (need to use 50 days for unlock)
Same for me. The "activate a device" option rarely worked for me. It gave me all kinds of errors at various steps. Not sure why Sprint wants to be last carrier in US to bind SIM# and phone IMEI# together to cause headaches to its customers.

Actually the trend is turning back in that direction with Apple's esim.

Metro PCS also binds the sim with phone imei.
