Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

h2o wireless sim is $0.01 at Amazon. You have to load it with $10 which will give you 3 months of 5c/minute talk time. You have to wait for at least 1 week before you can port it out. You need to call them to get the account number + pin; when you call, you need to provide the last three telephone numbers that you called.

AT&T had a promotion of $1 sim for prepay account; it is no longer available, but if you can find it at a low cost, you need to load it with only a few dollars to get a phone number (online will require you to load $10 or so; but you can call and tell them you want to try it out in your area and get away with $2 or so).
good info

i would add:

1. pin is last 4 of sim card. but u will still need them to give u your account number.
note : they will usually text this account number to you

2. they require 5 day wait, but is not enforced very well. as long sa u have pin & acct number. u should be good to go in a day or 2

That is completely different than the part number the Sprint guy gave me. His was the same as the other one on that site (SIMOLW506TC), except it ends in 6C, not 6TC.

I think I'm going to call the Sprint number and talk to the people in dept with the promo. I can't take any chances that I could lose my number -- Ive had it for many years.

I just talked to a representative from Sprint. The department that is in charge of this promotion. He said the general SKU number is the one that's all numbers. He said that's the one that's issued by Motorola and the one that they need at Sprint to activate this

Hi--I am confused and need help. You seem to know about this, so I'm hoping you can answer. Happy to rep you if you can clear things up for me.

1. I have a Moto G4 Plus.

2. I went to the Sprint store (unfortunately they were out of "mine" or I could have had it free). They photographed the SKU for it from their computer and came up with 760492034500. He said that is absolutely the correct sim that I need. I can upload the pic if necessary.

3. That agrees with this site (the bestcellular one), but as you can see, ALL the ones listed seem to use the same one https://bestcellular.com/byod-sim...e-devices/ [bestcellular.com]

4. I keep seeing this link in this thread, that is supposedly reliable. But one, it's for Ting, so I don't see how it will work with the Sprint promo, and two, it lists two different SKUs for my phone, neither of which is even close to 760492034500. It indicates both CZ410PLWC and CZ2144LWC, depending on sim size
https://help.ting.com/hc/en-us/ar...r-SIM-Card [ting.com]

It seems to differenciate them by sim card size. Most cards are 3-1 anyway, which I don't see listed. My phone takes a micro, but I have an adaptor, so a nano is fine (actually preferable since that makes it more flexible to use).

Sooo, I'm lost
The part number you are quoting is the 3 in one kit of several commonly used sims. You can do it that way of you want. You can get it at Best Buy, Target, Amazon etc.

There are no "Ting sims". They and all other Sprint mvno's use and are reselling only Sprint/Boost/Mobile sims which are one and the same thing. There are no other sims for use anywhere on the Sprint network than the ones distributed from Sprint whether sold by BestBuy, Ting, Twigby, BestCellular etc..

Quoting by Part number, which is the way they are most often quoted, the most usual sim used for this phone is SIMGLW446C for a single sim. (The other one they list is a kit I believe). Any others listed for this model by Ting or Sprint will also work.

I would not pay attention to anything a dealer says. You can order completely reliably using the Ting Chart (buying from any source, not just from Ting) or from Twigby using your phone model, or you can buy the 3 in one kit of a variety of popular sims from Best Buy Target, Amazon or Ebay.

I do not know that there is any choice of sizes.

There are no special requirements of this promotion that affect which sim is correct.

Sprint doesn't let you use any SIM with any phone -- you need to get a compatible part number SIM for the phone you want to use otherwise your service won't work properly

Part number or SKU has nothing to do with the activation process

Once you have your phone & SIM then you call them to activate -- give them your phone's 15-digit IMEI (or 14-digit MEID if it has that) along with the SIM card's ICCID (which is a unique 20-digit serial number for the SIM)

I agree.
"The department that deals with this promotion" is only a Telephone Sales department and is NOT a reliable source of technical information.
Numerous people on forums here and elsewhere used SIMGLW446C for this phone and it works fine.

Thanks for the complete explanation. rep'd. I did call Sprint again today and he told me he was giving me the "general" sim SKU, and that's what they need to activate. So I guess now i'm covered no matter what I'm asked. I'm going to try a different Sprint store to see if they have any in stock, since they're free. Otherwise I'll try BB or Target

I know, it wasnt easy enough to navigate this humongous thread. Still confused after following your direction , many opinions.
Also do you know if I port my number to ipad mini 2, would i be able to make calls, would sprint allow it?

Another question would be , once activated the sim card, can i swap to any sprint phone immediately? Thanks for your help.

The iPads were listed erroneously at the start of this thread (based on an erroneous list that appeared on the Sprint site at the time).

They are not included in the current list on the Wiki or in the current Sprint list at
