Without any add ons what is roaming in Europe deal ? Going to be in UK and Spain, will ikely get a local sim but if I use my Sprint will it be 20 cents a min and free 2g data by default without signing up for anything ?
Yes, that's what I understand. Install Google Hangouts (and Google Hangouts Dialer if you use Android) and you can make free calls home even to landlines to avoid the 20 cent per min fee. You can even receive calls with Hangouts the same way if you get a Google Voice number.

Yes as per ahallslickdeal and also from the Sprint FAQ:

Are international services included?
Yes, our 1 Year Free Unlimited plan includes Sprint Global Roaming, which includes data up to 2G speeds and text messaging in any of our 165+ Global Roaming countries at no charge, plus calling for just $0.20 a minute.
It does not include calling from the U.S. to international locations, but you can easily add international calling to your plan.
I have seen people post that you get a prompt when entering European countries for a daily 4G pass for a relatively low amount. I do not know all the details.

Thanks. Done. I bought couple of Tmobile sim cards 2 years back for no reason, when there was sale for 99 cents and sitting in basement, finally used them

I didn't wait long. Ported out after 15 mins of tmobile activation. Used the same sim card at sprint, I had used earlier before porting to t-mobile. Everything went smooth. But needed to call sprint for activation as I was getting errors online. Now I have free service until Jan 2019.
I try to activate some old Tmobile sims I had with agent on phone to use to port over to Sprint. The agent told me the sims were expired. The sim activation kit did have an Activated by date and they were in the past. Anyone able to active old Tmobile prepaid sims beyond the specified expiration date? Thanks in advance for any help.

Yeah my main number is already on google voice. Hopefully it works over 2g.

Do I need to enable anything before traveling or is default Intl enabled already ?

No help on that, but you can buy a Ting SIM kit at Walmart (have to order for pickup I think, not in stock if you just walk into the store) for $10 and it includes credit to activate an account. I had an old unused Ting GSM SIM card laying around and used that when I needed a number to port into Sprint.

I have used only the T-Mobile global roaming, which is similar to Sprint's plan (also 2G speed limited). Google Hangouts calls worked OK over data so I think you will be OK.

You may need to enable global networks or something in your phone, because Sprint doesn't use GSM networks by default in the US. T-Mobile does, so I didn't need to do anything.

Several users have stated that adding a second or third line will have the same promo expiration date as the first one. That being said, would I be able to add lines after the promo ends being that they will have the same expiration date as the first line?
Also, what would be a fair price for me to resell any sprint sim kits I got from Sprint if they are unopened?

Nobody knows re adding lines after the promo closes to new customers. The reps. do not know. Personally, based on the wording ("add at any time") , I think you will be able to continue adding lines but some think that is reading too much into the wording.

I will leave your other question to others.

Do you have any real intell about when this promo will end? I called Sprint but all they will say is that their notes say "it's a limited time offer". I bought a phone that has a sporadic but serious glitch. I only have until Jan 31 to return/exchange it. If I do that, I won't get the replacement in time to take advantage of this promo if it ends on Jan 31, so I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do. It doesn't make sense to keep a phone I know has a serious glitch, but I don't want to miss the promo either. I don't own a backup phone that will work with this promo to use in the interim. Any ideas?

Why can't you use the phone with the glitch and swap it later when you get the new one? On a side note, I'm trying to add my Moto G5 Plus (unlocked version, no ads, from Amazon) to a plan but they said it's a prepaid phone and not eligible, what do I do?

If you used the phone on a Sprint MVNO (like Boost/Virgin/Ting/Tello/etc) then the phone needs to be flipped back in Sprint's database to use it on postpaid service:

As I said, the return period for the new phone ends January 31. I bought it from B&H Photo mid December. So if I don't return the phone by Jan 31, then I can't return it at all. And they won't send me a replacement until they have mine in hand so they can check it out. All that will take about 3 weeks, which will take it past Jan 31.

Regarding your G5, I don't know. Many of these phones that qualify are prepaid phones, including my G4 Plus, so that makes no sense. Did you try the eligibility page?

On the unlocked S8, how do you turn off the data saver setting? Sometimes I can't download apps or updates that are greater than 100mb.
