Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

If you do not have wifi and/or want or need cellular data at home, contact Sprint Customer Service and they may give you a free Magic Box for home There are posts that these are in stock right now. They gave me one a long time ago and I get 50 Mbps now.

It needs the phone to have band 41 . I think all iPhone 6S models have that but some earlier and later non-Sprint iPhone models do not.
I usually get about 12 down in the house with mintsim, but I tested it this morning only got 1 down, which is very surprising. Not sure what to make of it. I have wifi, but that's still unacceptable as I could be in someone else's house sometimes.I wonder why it's so much lower than usual.

So, what's your opinion--think the promo will be extended, or end on the 31st? Logic says it will end, merely because the "year" ends Jan 31, 2019. So if you were still able to get this , say Feb 20, you'd be getting less than a year. Unless they extend the 2019 dates also. I haven't been following this promo very long, so I don't know that detail. Until recently I didn't have a phone that would qualify.

Mintsim is an MVNO so it might be lower priority on TMobile when load is heavy. Or they might be doing maintenance on the nearest tower. I am thinking of getting Tetik which is low-cost TMO business/postpaid service level after the Sprint promo ends. That way you get priority service level. You have to have some semblance of a business to get it.

I do not know if this Sprint plan will be extended. I have a slight feeling it might not be. I doubt they ever decide finally until the last minute every month whether they can stand the pain of cutting off the stream of new subscribers that comes from it. I think it will depend on various negotiations they have underway how much they need that small stream. Or maybe whether they are ready with some new plan which although not as generous, they think will work.

If they do extend it, they will extend the 2019 end date by either one or two months. That is what they have done every time when needed to make the offer still good for at least a full year .

Thanks.

My reception is not as good, especially inside, as it was when I lived only a couple miles away. Here I only get 2-3 bars, there I was getting at least 3 and occasionally 4. I think it might have something to do with the phone. I had an Honor 5X at the last place and only recently got the G4 Plus. I went outside and was getting about 6 down, but forgot to test it when was further from the house. I'll try it again tomorrow.

I'd love to hear Monday morning that they're extending it, but not taking the chance of missing it. My mintsim plan goes through early March, but I'd rather sacrifice a month of it than lose the Sprint deal. I'm just hoping it goes smoothly. After reading all the experiences of others on here, all I can do is hope. Sounds like a mess.

this has been one of the best deals around, if you need it. I just lost power and DSL today so spent a buck on data over Tello 2c/MB to get by. Not bad for six months of service on a $10 refill. I don't like being metered but tello works in a pinch.

I was going to say thats bad, but after I just ran it on mine and I am getting barely 4Mbps down at home..Brand new iPhone 6s..yes has all the Sprint 'Bands'. This is what makes Sprint what it is today.
See attached
Why does it say "TJ" where the carrier name normally is? My iPhones say "Sprint" there.

nope, I was just pointing out the the difference between $12/mo (this deal) and $12/yr with Tello paygo for light users. I'm probably the exception, I stick around wifi all day.

Are you talking about Cox? I'll check. But my scores didn't go down, and if they did it was minimal.

They went down far more about 10 years ago when I decided to get a Target Red Card. I bought a TV with it but didn't like it and returned it 2 weeks later. I paid off the card immediately, but my FICOs still went down about 20 pts and it took a year to get them back up to where they were. I was told it's because they department stores use low quality banks to back up the cards.
Yes, Cox. I opened an internet service account w/them and was never asked for my SSN. I bought my own router and modem separately at a different store. Months later I looked over my credit and saw a hard pull by Cox. I didn't think much of it, but it was quite impressive that they could do that w/o SSN.
Yeah, I heard bad things about Dept store cards, but I think they may be good to certain people.
By the way, I wanted to see if there were any good deals on phones purchased through Sprint. My thought was that they would be cheaper than unlocked and w/a deal or sorts. However, I can't seem to find a way to buy it outright. All are monthly payments. Am I missing something?

Has anyone gone through the phone upgrade procedures after the 120 days on this plan? Can we get in on a deal like the target $300 gift card for upgrading to a s8 and not lose our plan? Any decent deals through print themselves? I see the lease prices but do not see how much I would have to pay at the end of the lease.

Sorry, I don't know anything about buying a phone thru Sprint. I got mine from B&H photo via a slickdeal in December. The only place I usually check my credit is on Credit Sesame and Credit Karma since it's free. I don't remember anything from Cox, but I will check.

You could try Swappa. There are some good prices there, but it will take longer and you might miss the promo.
