Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I spoke with a rep this morning at the 8777 number in an attempt to extend my current promotion. They said the length of the promotion is still only for one year (so assuming I opened a new line today, it would expire in February of 2019, and not April of 2019).
Well it never hurts to try things but numerous people have tried and you cannot extend a promotion once you are in it.
Each new offer is for new customers only.
As for the end date, the rep. is ill-informed (we have been through this before a few times) and we will see that in a day or two as people start signing up and getting the April 2019 end date.

Does anyone know if you add a line, do you get one year free from the date of the add, or from when the first BYOD line was opened (many months ago)?
It is based on the dates for the first line added. You are adding lines under the terms of your original offer, not the new one (for which you are not eligible once you are a customer)..

Does anybody know if I were to buy an iPhone X unlocked from Apple and activate it on my att plan to port in if it would work with sprint? It says iPhone X (Verizon only) but I believe unlocked iPhones work on all carriers. My current phone is on its last leg and it seems if it breaks in a month it may terminate the free service if i switch to the x

Everybody should be happy now, the new folks just getting into this free plan as well as those who got into this last summer/fall who may be able to port out of their current free Sprint plan in the next month or so and open new free accounts at least 45 days later as new customers.
OR use a family member's SS # to open a new account now and get the full 15 month benefit!

This also seems like a good opportunity to bring back to Sprint all those locked Sprint Essential Phones, wait a couple of months and get them permanently unlocked.
I brought back and activated my unlocked Sprint Essential last month after it was in the box for 2 months and until now it still can take another carrier's sim, although uicc says I'm locked to Sprint. Weird.

I think you're cherry picking when to read the terms of the deal literally and when to trust past experience. I'm trusting past experience until proven otherwise Smilie

Short answer: Yes.

How to confirm: Unlocked iPhone X from Apple should be Model A1865 (Qualcomm chipset) - which supports CDMA (Sprint). If for some reason you got a Model A1901 (Intel chipset) it will not work on Sprint.

I joined Free BYOD plan in Aug 2017 with iPhone 6 Plus(original ATT phone). I want to move the SIM to Nexus 5X that I already have. I know that we can't swap the SIM. What is the process for activating Nexus 5X while still maintaining my free plan? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Get a sim that will work with your 5X and do Sprint chat and ask them to swap your number from iPhone to the 5X. Best Buy sells Sprint sims for $5 (Apple) to $10 (Android).

Thanks. Doesn't Sprint provide a free SIM? I assumed that a regular Sprint customer will be provided a free SIM from Sprint if they need to change phones.

If you are a paying customer most likely they will. But for most, especially the ones with the free 1 year byod plan... They don't want to help you... Unless you find a real nice rep etc etc. I'd rather go to Best Buy to eliminate the Sprint store experience.

If your Nexus 5X was previously used with Sprint and you still have that Sim, it'll work with that.

If not check here for your Sim:

https://help.ting.com/hc/en-us/ar...r-SIM-Card

It looks that Sim Part: SIMGLW446C is the one for the 5X.

To get an idea read this from the Wiki here:

MOTOROLA G5 PLUS ISSUES:
The only Sprint SIM that will work with the Motorola G5 Plus is:
Part #: SIMOLW506C that's printed on the plastic SIM card holder, with the Sprint SKU #: 760492034500 that's printed on the outside of the SIM envelope under the scan bars.
THIS SIM WILL ALSO WORK IN THE NEXUS 5, BUT if you have an older Sprint Nexus 5 with an older Sprint SIM it should work with that SIM.

Most Sprint company stores do not seem to have this card in stock, but some individually owned Sprint dealer stores do but they charge about $25 for it.
The best way is to order it directly from Sprint and pay the $10 shipping fee.

Some Sprint stores think that the Part # SIMOLW416Q will work with this G5 Plus phone but it does NOT. The Sprint SKU # for that is 760492035279.
This SIM will work with the Motorola E4 as stated here in the Wiki.
Some Sprint stores have this SIM in stock and you can get it there for $2.99 or possibly for free if you tell them that the online rep who is handling your activation and porting sent you there to get it for free.
If you know the SIM Sprint Part # and the SIM Sprint SKU # that has worked for your particular phone that you used for this FREE one year BYOD Sprint offer please list it here. It will help others.
According to other posters here SIM Sprint Part # SIMGLW446C from Best Buy should work on the G5 Plus.

Phone MUST be CDMA compatible AND able to use the Sprint LTE bands, 25, 26, 41.

Most T-Mobile phones run only on the GSM system and will not work with Sprint OR Verizon.

You didn't tell us what phone you're talking about!
