Yes that's what I was reffing to, the $5 per month to call Canada and Mexico. Not bad for $9.42 (for me w/ tax).
Great to know! I myself may just turn it on for special occasions then! (People who call more could just leave it on as you may). It is either that or Google Hangouts for me (which is free to Canada).

Their regular rates to Canada are absolutely obscene on this plan (but free on paid plans)! I can see where they are picking up nickles and dimes on this plan. The big winner for them is likely the device protection plan for those who fall for it. Plus "upgrades". Overrall, this plan may cost them very little relative to losing these customers to others.

This entire 1yr Free is a no brainer, especially for the bigger markets getting the LTE PLUS, extra $5 U.S. Canada and the 10GB Hotspot for tablets. It's truly Cra Cra and free text messaging international markets.

Shit, I think it's time for FederlineYo to go find the best Britney Spears and ruin their career!!!

My family wants to do this deal and go from Verizon to Sprint. However, 2 of our lines are under contract so they have hefty early termination fees. Is the only option to pay the fees in order to do this?

Yes if the phone is owned free and clear. Of course a Sprint version. You can attempt to swap it online but probably will end up chatting online to complete.
Edit: you cannot take advantage of any Sprint subsidized phone deals however for 120 days

Trying to set up a line for my sister with a Moto e4 XT1768. Sprint is saying "Ineligible, this phone does not qualify for this offer"
Any ideas what's going on?

From where you got this phone?
Is it unlocked or which network phone was it?

The unlocked unbranded E4 and if it has ever been on a Sprint mvno you will have to have to get LiterallyUnlimited on Reddit to flip the ownership flag from PLBL to SPCS. Search on posts by LiterallyUnlimited in this thread for details.

She had a different phone on boost. We ported to simple mobile tonight and put the simple mobile Sim in the e4. Was never used anywhere else.

Make sure the phone number you gave is not Sprint.

For additional clues as to the problem, what does Ting say at
https://ting.com/byod Does it say ok for GSM or does it say good for CDMA and GSM?

Does the Amazon seller say good on Sprint in the listing?

OK that is very good that you bought from Amazon and that they promised it would work on Sprint.

Since Ting is also rejecting it for Sprint that unfortunately confirms that it is cannot be activated on Sprint. You can just report that to Amazon and give them the IMEI and invite them to try themselves to verify if they wish. Ask them for instructions on how to proceed to get one that will be accepted on Sprint. Most likely they are quite familiar with the issue and will know what to do.

Thanks for the info. The Sprint version is also going to be accepted of course since all Sprint models are accepted although not listed explicitly.
I would suggest people not buy the unbranded version since they get a better end result in my opinion by buying the Sprint version and unlocking it after 50 days on Sprint to work on all carriers. That way they get all Sprint features (especially above all else LTE Calling beta, and also Visual Voicemail) and can still unlock it after 50 days.

Is there a way to get voicemail at all on Sprint apart from visual voicemail?

On Cricket I assumed I just could not get voicemail til I downloaded their visual voicemail app, then it worked.
