Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Did you guys order it online or taken the SIM from the store? How much do they charge for the SIM card at the store?
Not from Sprint in either case.
For what phone?
The best source depends on the make.

For that pick up a free Sprint sim at any Apple Store. Then you will need to call in to the number given in the wiki or on the Sprint site to activate (you cannot use the web form). Bring along the phone when you stop by in person only at the Apple Store (do not call Apple).

Thank you sir. But I don't have any Apple stores nearby. Only the one's like Target, T-Mobile selling Apple products. Is there a possibility of them having it?

Part SIMOLW506C in the Best Buy-sold Boost $9.99 triple sim kit covers that.
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/boos...Id=5887020

Target may have it in stock too.
https://www.target.com/p/boost-si...A-52591719

Or you can order from Sprint for $10 shipping or from Twigby for $2.99 or try your random luck at Sprint stores.

See the wiki.

Anyone pleae confirm or correct me if I am missing anything.

The sim part SIMOLW506TC doesn't exist for Sprint. It is named SIMOLW506C. Not sure why Ting calls it SIMOLW506TC. But SIMOLW506C is in the kits at BestBuy and Target.

Super I made that correction.

Thanks.

So, if I open a new free unlimited account under a new name and SSN, I can port back in the same number and use the same phone right away, like just after a day or two after porting it out??
The 45 day wait period is only if I'm trying to open a new account with the same SSN, right?

I don't remember if my plan expires in June or July, but I was thinking it might be good to open a new account in May and move the lines as it looks like they're still offering this plan. Not the best service for an unlimited plan, but great value for the price.

Yes you can do that but you might as well do it now for the greater certainty of getting it because you get the same end date now either way (end of May 2019),

If I did it now, the new April account wouldn't end in April '19?? That's what I was assuming I guess. One year from opening the account.
Besides, if I wait till May, there's the chance they may extend yet again to June 30th. Big Grin

No, any new account now gets the end of May end date. Check the Sprint page - it says that and that is always the way it works.

But you can take the gamble if you want. I think you are probably right that you will have to the end of May to sign but that is NOT guaranteed (although it may be logical).

If they run it into June that would be over a year and I doubt they will do that but anything is possible.

I was told by one of their Customer services representative that a new sim card needs to be ordered to be eligible for this plan. Still a very good deal though.
Note that the $10 shipping is per order and not per sim card, so i'd order 4 if you plan to have more than one line.

I'm trying to order the SIM card for Iphone 6 Plus from Twigby, but on selecting the model, it's showing the SIM model as "SIMOLW416C" in place of "SIMOLW506C". Should I go ahead and place the order?

That is (almost) completely false.

It may be the easy way out for some reps. because it saves them the trouble of being sure if an existing sim will work or not in a particular phone. They actually are not given the tools to answer that in general. They are just sales reps.

Numerous, hundreds of people on this thread have provided their own sims.
Sprint sims never expire and are never specific to any individual offer or MVNO or division.

Now, it is true that if you order through the web, you have to order a sim, just because the process was designed inflexibly. That may be the origin of what you are quoting.

When you order by calling 866-782-8777, you provide your own sim ICCID along with MEID and number to be ported in. Call now and they will tell you that. We all do that all the time adding lines, reopening accounts etc..

Did you call some other number to a department of Sprint that knows nothing about this offer maybe?
Or maybe you got a dumb rep. Also they are a SALES department and many of them give misleading advice all the time when it helps move along a sale.

Now it has to be a CORRECT SIM PART NUMBER for your model.
You cannot take any random Sprint sim you had from another phone and put in a different model model phone like you can with other carriers. If that's what you tried to do then I can see why they told you what they did, although they were wrong to do that just to avoid a long call.
.
Hint: Some phones come with Sprint sims already in the phone so you certainly do not have to remove the sim and put in another one. Or you could have got the sim already from a Sprint dealer, which they also often suggest. But they do not care. They have never asked me where the sim came from.

Yes that one is fine too.
Many of us have obtained our sims from Twigby which is great!
