Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Stores have no access to the free plan.

Call 866-782-8777 and ask them what to do and meanwhile do not let the store touch it.

This might take a day or two to sort out.

Worst case you may have to have one shipped to you as this plan is not normally entitled to use dealer services or stock. I am not sure about that though - it is just worst case.

Apple iPhone 7 (Verizon only)
Apple iPhone 7 Plus (Verizon only)

is what is on the list as included.

I would think the unbranded version would work too but wait for someone else who knows or test the IMEI

Anything that is likely to work is fine with them - they want the commission.
They're certainly aggressive about pushing signups through, and it's also pretty likely you'll receive follow up calls from the agent after activation demanding that you fill out the satisfaction survey right then, while they are on the line, and that if you're satisfied you must select 9 or 10. They can also tell when you've submitted it (doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose?).
I'd almost be tempted to mark a 2 or 3 and add a snarky comment about what happens when you try to demand satisfaction from your customers, but I understand they're probably just doing what they need to do to get their bonuses, and it really is an unbeatably great offer for anyone in an area with good Sprint coverage.

I agree although I have not received such a call and have not seen others who did. He was probably freelancing as they often do and Sprint seems to tolerate it too much, I agree. 2 or 3 sounds right.

I decided to jump on this deal, however I think I may have made a mistake by using my Freedompop Global SIM line to port in. It's been over 24 hours since the port was submitted and it is still stuck waiting for the response from old provider (Freedompop). I contacted Freedompop support but they said they haven't received a port request. Sprint support just says that since it's technically a landline I have to wait and eventually it will go through. I'm starting to get impatient, so should I:

- See if I can port in another number to the account (or possibly get a new number)? The number I port in doesn't matter since I have Google Voice. OR
- keep being patient and wait for the port to complete?

I know the port information is correct since on my first try I entered the wrong information and it was rejected after a couple hours. I had them resubmit last night and I'm still in the "waiting for response" stage. Has anyone else who's ported in a global SIM line have any tips that helped get the port through?

On a side note, I don't know if this has been mentioned but there is a handy website to check on the status of a port. Just go to http://shop2.sprint.com/NASApp/onlinestore/en/Action/PECCheckPortInRequestStatus?url=wnp%2Fjsp%2FPECPortInStatusCheckResult.jsp&ptn=5555555555 (replace the last 10 digits with your number). The other port status page requires you to create an account but I can't create one until the number is set up.

Thanks for the reply. I did online chat while in the store and got it switched over. The Asurion guy was very helpful and spent alot time to sort it out. Ultimately they had to do something with stock so I could take the phone. I was at the store about 2 hours. They gave her an LG v20 for her Nexus 6 with a bad battery.

I would suggest check on the Dashboard that you still on free plan both today and tomorrow.
Quite a few people have found they are not, after a store is involved.
It may be fine of course.

Checked it before leaving and a few times since. Still seems to be in order.

Well, about 50% of the recent posts on this thread are on this subject and lots of us have done it and reported on it in detail.

Port out to TMobile Prepaid (or to another non-Sprint account you may already have), open a new free Sprint account under a spouse or family member SSN, and port back in to the new account. You do not need new Sprint sims,

One day, this offer will suddenly be over without necessarily any advance warning and then it will be too late. One possible date for that is June 1, a popular guess, but it could be earlier or later.

Generally I'm a big "read the whole thread" person, but at 1150 pages well..

Thank you for the info! I'll save this post.

I successfully ported my home phone number! Took couple of days but finally went through.
Now, I have to find a way to port the same number to google voice but also keep the service.
Anyone have any ideas on how I can do that?
