Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I have a Nexus 6, T-Mobile number to transfer and the proper Sprint SIM. How long does the phone call with the CSR to get everything set up usually take?
You need to prepare the account information from T-Mobile first.

No that won't work for an Iphone 6. It is kinda off sneaky because says 3 in1 but it is just one sim that is cut for 3 different sizes.
You can get free sprint sim(simglw436c) for iphone 6 at apple store.
Best buy sells a byod kit with 3 sim cards in it(simolw506c,simolw416Q,simolw506TQ) for $9.99. This kit actually includes the one you linked but also includes 2 other sim cards.
This sim card kit has cards for most recent sprint devices so if you switch to a different phone you won't need to purchase another sim.
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/boos...Id=5887020 [bestbuy.com]
Twigby also has sprint sim cards for $2.99.
If you want to go ebay route or other sources for iphone 6 sim you need to look for sim models simglw436c, simolw506c, or simolw416c.
Thanks so much. This is very helpful information for me as well as for anyone looking at purchasing SIM outside of Sprint.

New data points.

I have not tracked this forum for a while. So the new data points may not be new to some experts here.

Our family have had this BYOD plan since June/July of 2017. My son signed up for additional lines for his own use today.

1. The new end date is 5/31/2019, as shown in the details online as well.

2. The port-in from Freedompop (ATT) is now automatic (as opposed to 24-48 hours previously). There was a glitch during the port-in process which was fixed by the Port-In Dept within an hour. One hour after hanging up the phone with the rep, his unlocked Essential PH-1 was activated on Sprint BYOD.

3. The unlocked Essential PH-1 was re-locked by Sprint after activation. The Essential was unlocked after more than 50 days of use in our other family BYOD plan. It was then taken off Sprint and replaced with an iPhone..

4. My son asked about the sign-up expiration date of 4/30/2018. The answer is there is currently no expiration date and the BYOD promo continues and can be terminated any time.

So, I called the 866 number and took about 15-20 min to get the SIM shipped and account created. I was only charged for overnight shipment fee and the SIM was given for free (YMMV). Will get the SIM tmrw and will have to call to get it activated.

Super duper easy.

Thanks for sharing this deal.

Everything there is as expected I think, but it's good to get confirmation.

The Essentials are beig relocked on reactivation because of unique terms in the Essential deal only (that do not apply to any other phones) but will be re-unlocked immediately on request if the request is made by the original purchaser of the Essential.

What do you mean.

If I kept essential phone for 50days and got it unlocked and then sold it. Then do you mean it will be locked if buyer uses it on sprint and then only I can unlock?

Yes that is what numerous posters elsewhere have reported.
It only applies while the original 18 month agreement between you and Sprint is in effect.

Supposedly Sprint maintains that while you can pay off the phone early, other provisions of the agreement remain in effect for the original period. Or something like that. Sprint can explain if you ask them.

This only applies to the (highly-subsidized) Essential phone deal and not to other Sprint phones.

My essential phone recently developed a problem that the battery drains fast. Essential is very helpful and replaced the phone. But now the new phone won't pass Sprint's eligibility check. I called up and the rep says the phone is not a domestic phone (Essential does not agree with this) and has compatibility problem. Bottom line is the phone won't work. Essential says there's nothing to do on their side.
Any suggestions what I can do?

Does it pass the Tello checker and
https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/br...hop:030918

If not, escalate within Essential's management and social media structure. Ask them to get it whitelisted by Sprint or replace it.

That's all I had from an EBay "TMobile Prepaid number for Porting" seller and it worked.
If Sprint asks for more info such as account holder name, give your own info.
Note if it is a 6 digit pin it is a port pin. If it is a 4 digit pin it is an account-level pin. Sprint will ask which it is.

Do not tell them it is a TMobile postpaid number as the account number will not be consistent for that. Tell them what it actually is, TMobile Prepaid.

Well I do not see any question then that it is covered under the manufacturer's warranty since it cannot even be activated on Sprint.

Their home page says: "Essential Phone works on all major carriers incl. Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile"

and they have to honor that.

I would talk to or email the manager of their warranty department or customer relations and tell him you will contact their president unless he honors their written commitment. It is not your problem why it is failing or to try to convince Sprint to accept it.

Actually first I would send screen captures of the main Sprint byod page that I sent you (which is free of references to this offer) rejecting it, and of Tello rejecting it. Most probably they do not believe you that it is failing so give them documentary proof.

How long does it take for my Sprint number to port TO Tmobile prepaid? I did it over the phone 15 minutes ago. My phone is still showing Sprint service.

Depends on the request and carrier, but safe bet would be anywhere from an hour or two to 24 hours or somewhere in between.
