Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Yes that is what numerous posters elsewhere have reported.
It only applies while the original 18 month agreement between you and Sprint is in effect.

Supposedly Sprint maintains that while you can pay off the phone early, other provisions of the agreement remain in effect for the original period. Or something like that. Sprint can explain if you ask them.

This only applies to the (highly-subsidized) Essential phone deal and not to other Sprint phones.
So will it unlock automatically after 50days for the buyer or not?

Doesn't mean anything as of now, they are currently still in "talks" even if they do agree on a deal and merger it will need to be approved and passed into effect which there's no guarantee that will happen. Even if that did happen and that's a big IF, it would still take months or longer before customers would notice benefits of the merger. A merger would be great for us consumers but it means nothing in its current talking and is in no way guaranteed to happen.

Depends on the request and carrier, but safe bet would be anywhere from an hour or two to 24 hours or somewhere in between.
It's been three hours but my phone says Sim Not Supported with the tmobile sim card and when I put in the sprint sim i still see Sprint up top but the number/phone's already gone from the account.

AFAIK this is a verizon iPhone 7

So will people on the free 1 year BYOD plan be kicked off it randomly if the merger goes through? I don't want to switch to Sprint tomorrow and have them pull my credit only for 2 months later find out the free promotion is ending due to a buyout.

I've a Nexus 6 (Project Fi, unlocked) and an iPhone SE (MetroPCS, locked until 5/20/18).

The Nexus 6 was bought from Amazon not through Project Fi (GOOGLE)

Both phones are listed as eligible device for this promotion.

However, the eligibility checker showed this message for both phones:
"Sorry, but this device can't be activated with Sprint service. Try another device, or Shop for a new device."

https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/br...phone.html

Does anyone has similar experience? Thanks!

Does this apply to all essential phones, or only those from the Sprint deal?

Well I can tell you I checked my AT&T prepaid iphone se when it was locked to AT&T on the Sprint checker and got the same message. After I got it unlocked the checker said my phone and number would work on their network. Don't know about the Nexus 6. But a locked phone will come up as no good for Sprint.
