Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Thanks Prizmm... really thats great... so did you just buy the sim kit and called tmobile to get account number etc. and ported out? without loading any money...
well, I got the sim cards from Apple Store for free. And ported in two numbers to TMobile Prepaid without paying a dime and and couple hours later ported back in Sprint with new SSN. So luckily I was able to manage entire roundtrip for free

Can anybody recommend a phone that allows you to use voice and data (internet) simultaneously.
Sprint is way behind in that feature. Currently they have a system named "calling Plus". Its their half -hearted attempt at volte. Google to see if your phone is listed.
I tried on an LG G6 with poor results.
Others have reported good results with different devices. Someone may chime in with more info on this and upcoming improvements.
Maybe search this thread for keywords "calling Plus"

Samsung S8 (any carrier branded version easiest) or S9 (Sprint branded version only or "unlocked" with bypass) are two and there are others. However it is BETA LTE Calling which means you could get poor quality calls in some areas until full VoLTE is launched later this year (hopefully in a couple of months).

Sprint will be densifying coverage with the help of TMobile roaming which will be in effect shortly (not requiring the merger to be approved) and this is a prereq. to full VoLTE and best performance

You must call T-Mo customer service and speak to a human, then there is no activation code required.

New data points.

I have not tracked this forum for a while. So the new data points may not be new to some experts here.

Our family have had this BYOD plan since June/July of 2017. My son signed up for additional lines for his own use today.

1. The new end date is 5/31/2019, as shown in the details online as well.

2. The port-in from Freedompop (ATT) is now automatic (as opposed to 24-48 hours previously). There was a glitch during the port-in process which was fixed by the Port-In Dept within an hour. One hour after hanging up the phone with the rep, his unlocked Essential PH-1 was activated on Sprint BYOD.

3. The unlocked Essential PH-1 was re-locked by Sprint after activation. The Essential was unlocked after more than 50 days of use in our other family BYOD plan. It was then taken off Sprint and replaced with an iPhone..

4. My son asked about the sign-up expiration date of 4/30/2018. The answer is there is currently no expiration date and the BYOD promo continues and can be terminated any time.
Quote from comintel :
Everything there is as expected I think, but it's good to get confirmation.

The Essentials are beig relocked on reactivation because of unique terms in the Essential deal only (that do not apply to any other phones) but will be re-unlocked immediately on request if the request is made by the original purchaser of the Essential.
Timeline in getting my son's essential PH-1 re-unlocked.

4/26 Thu. 2PM (PST) Signed up BYOD with a previously unlocked Essential PH-1 which got re-locked.

4/27 Fri. 4PM Called 888-211-4727.
Select 1, Select option 5, Select option 5 again, Select option 2.
Talked to the customer service rep about what happened. She checked the history of the phone and said she would submit the request to re-unlock the Essential. Did not talk to the Unlock Dept., only the rep. She said it would take 24-48 hours.

5/1 Tue. 4PM The essential got re-unlocked.

Do not use H2O. Use T-Mobile for a very quick turn around.
It can be done in less than an hour.

It looks as if this offer was not terminated on April 30, BUT it may end at ANY time or if luck prevails maybe last until 5/31/2018 but I wouldn't count on it.
The faster you get on this free deal the better off you'll be.
So, do it tomorrow 5/1.
Thanks...Do I need a T Mobile sim card if I go with the ebay seller? or can I just use the account number the seller provides and port out my two sprint lines to that T mobile account and port back in to sprint to keep my numbers?

Please read this post:

You can not use the ebay seller for what you want to do. The ebay T-Mo no. seller is good for just porting those #s to Sprint or another provider.
The fastest way is to buy a prepaid T-Mo sim or if you can wait a few days to use another provider's prepaid sim like AT&T, etc.

In the last few pages here there are similar cases to yours.
