Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Can you get any band 41 signal on a regular phone? (You can run the SignalCheck app. on Android to track band used).

If so it should work and may not be provisioned properly on Sprint's side.

If you have no band 41 it will not work as you note.
sounds familiar. I don't have it on my phone anymore but when I did use it there was no sign of 41.

I agree then - the box would be useless there.

Anyone got etf contract with this deal or even regular sprint account with etf?

My free year is almost up in July and I have one iPhone 8 under etf. My estimated etf due if I cancelled the line in July is $300.
Anyone knows if Sprint bill will show the iPhone 8 as tie to the ETF?

I know the lease phone does, I have a Moto E4 on lease that shows the leased phone but there is no indication for the iPhone 8 etf?

Planning to switch to tmobile to get refund etf credit but trade in another smart phone.

So i am confused. I want to buy the samsung s7 special ed phone and saw a samsung edge 7 but it says network locked. What kind of phone should i be looking to get? And what isthe difference between an average s7 and s7 special edition?

If not, can anyone recommend an android that works with this plan? TIA!

S7 special edition means factory unlocked.
I'm using S8+ special edition on this plan. So just look for the name special edition if you like Samsung phone.

Apple.com had it last year for Sprint at $250 for 2 year contract, even this Byod free 1year was eligible. No longer available. Like now the bestbuy $200 off iPhones deal is also pretty good.

I just ordered two of these for people. You're not going to set the world on fire but looks decent to me.
( I could be wrong, I often am)

eBay code today PMAY4TH

Edit:You can sign up with any eligible device and swap to a different device that you own outright.
No limitations on that. You just cannot buy a Sprint phone through any Sprint deals for 120 days

I finally got in on this today after months of procrastination. My initial call resulted in a clueless rep who had to check with her supervisor twice and ultimately told me I couldn't do this deal if I already had my own SIM for the phones -- I had to purchase from her. A quick, "bye, bye" then HUCA resulted in talking with a very competent rep who knew exactly what he was doing. No problem activating an iPhone 6, but I had a ton of trouble getting data to work on my ancient HTC M7. A little patience and 3 reps later, I had two working phones, lol.

Couple quick things: 1) My rep did NOT add insurance to my plans. He asked, I said no, and that was that. A check of my online account shows TEP as an option, but not added. 2) These were old phones I had sock-drawered, so I purchased T-Mobile numbers on eBay from Portmaster around 10 pm yesterday and he got them to me by 10 am today. The account info he sent worked beautifully for porting in.

I leave it until it says it can't connect and to try a new spot. I've tried every window... I've tried outside... Sprint in Hawaii is basically garbage.

Off topic but I hope you are OK and not affected by the earthquakes.

You first have to port out to a different provider (a lot have been using H20 and T-Mobile prepaid lately). Then you have to call the Sprint BYOD promo line to sign-up for a brand new account with a DIFFERENT social security # (spouse, S/O, parent, etc.). You wouldn't be able to start your own new account for 45 days after porting out. Then you'll follow the same steps to activate as you did the first time...
I followed the steps you mentioned and when I activated the phone online under a different social security number it gave me a message saying I will have free unlimited data talk and text until 7/31/18! It didn't give me another year of free service, even though The new account is under a different social and I ported over the number. It seems it just gave me the 2 remaining months I would have had before. Bummer.

Get a Google Pixel or Pixel XL. Totally unlocked and can be used in every carrier. Top of the line smartphone camera, super fast, no bloatware, latest Android Oreo. After you're done with this Sprint free deal you'll have no problem going to any carrier you choose. Bought 4 phones from Dailysteals.com as b grade refurbished but to my surprise all 4 are A condition.

https://www.dailysteals.com/produ...9829399628

Then go to Best Buy and buy the right sim card. The mobile reps should be able to help you get the right sim.

If I'm currently on Sprint, all my phones should be able to be ported out and back in again?

Also, is there a confirmation on the 5/17/18 date? The reps keep telling me:
"I have checked the information and currently, there is no end date to this promotion available. It is still there for limited time, however no fixed end date is available."
Wondering the same thing... where did the date 5/17/18 (in the wiki) come from? Is that the latest date?
