Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Thanks, got the SIM from Sprint yesterday and got the part number for my model from a link in this forum from Hunter and from a kind SDer's pm. But you're saying another place to get one is from an Apple store, but only for iPhones though, right?
I walked into the Apple store and asked for the SIM card. Just make sure you get the right one. First time i went in they gave me the wrong one.

That is Apple's intent - that they be used only for iPhones.

Can I still get one year free? I am new to sprint and I don't see this promotion on the website.I am on ATT now.

The Sprint promotion is still up but it'll terminate on 5/17/2018:

https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/of...:1yearfree

Anyone can quickly get on this free 1 year BYOD plan even though you may not have a qualifying phone, its specific sim card, and a phone # to port in.
Just read these two posts:

Get the phone and its specific Sprint Sim card here:

Get the tel. # to port here:

I tried my best to read through latest posts to get information of "renewing" one-year free plan.

Do I need one t-mobile/AT&T prepaid SIM for EACH line I'd like to port back to Sprint?

What I'd like to do is to activate a new t-mobile prepaid line and use it to open a new one-year free Sprint account. I'm wondering after I have done that, can I simply port lines from my OLD sprint account to NEW sprint account? Or do I still need to port each OLD sprint line to t-mobile, and then port to my NEW sprint account?

Also, I understand that phones and even Sprint SIM card can be reused according to previous posts. However, if a phone is currently in use with my OLD sprint line, may I use the same phone as the host of the ported NEW sprint line?

Thank you so much.

For each line you are porting out of sprint you will need a sim card of the carrier you're moving it to. Once your line has moved out of sprint, you can use the same sprint sim to port back in. You have to port out ALL lines you want to add to your new free year account. You can't move a line from sprint to sprint. I'm not sure what your asking in your last paragraph, but I used the main line of my original free account as the main line of the new free account - after porting it out first, of course.

When I write my 7 plus imei and phone number I get this error : "Sorry, but our records show you still owe Sprint for this device. Sign in to find this device on your account."
I bought my phone 3 months ago from offerup, I have the receipt from apple store and full box so it's not financed from sprint. Is there anything I can do? I believe the previous owner was on boost network. I'm on total wireless.

First, try it on the Ting or Tello checkers to verify it is at least potentially compatible .

That message about "still owe Sprint for this device" actually means not what it says, but rather that it has been on a Sprint mvno at one point. All such phones need to be pushed back to Postpaid by being noted accordingly in the Sprint database. Technically, the ownership flag needs to be flipped from PLBL to SPCS. LiterallyUnlimited on Reddit will do that free. Search this thread on LiterallyUnlimited for details and contact him on Reddit.

There might be an additional complication because it was on Boost in particular, but LiterallyUnlimited will be aware if that is the case.

If all fails. Do a factory reset. It will work.

You can try these otherwise may need factory reset.

1-Reset Subscriber Settings (Carrier Reset)
Go to dial pad as though you're about to dial a phone number
Enter # # 25327 #
Tap Call
A "Reset Subscriber Settings" message will appear - tap OK
Wait 5-10 seconds; the signal notification will display "Searching" on the top left of the screen
When the phone shows a signal again, the phone is ready to use

2-Service Update (Profile & PRL Update)
Connect to a Wi-Fi network
Tap the phone app
Dial # # 873283 #
Tap Call
"Starting Service Update" message will appear - tap OK
If update is successful "Service Update Complete" message will appear after about a minute - tap OK

3-Check for an old LTE APN profile and delete it.
The problem was due to a Profile named "LTE APN". (Settings>General>Profiles - Right below "VPN". There may not be "Profile" on the Menu, depending on the carrier used before.). Deleted this Profile, then LTE Data signal showed up! This Profile was probably from the previous carrier.

I'm not sure what your asking in your last paragraph, but I used the main line of my original free account as the main line of the new free account - after porting it out first, of course.
The reasons are, I like a new phone number for one of my two lines.

So what I plan to do:
Current ==> the OLD sprint plan [line A + line B]
Step 1==> T-Mobile prepaid [line C + line D] (line C is ported from line A, line D is a new phone number) & the OLD sprint plan [line B]
Step 2==> the NEW sprint plan [line E + line F] (E and F are ported from C and D, respectively) & the OLD sprint plan [line B]

As you can see, the question in my last paragraph was about whether or not line F and line B may share the same phone. If not possible, I'll have to terminate line B after step 1.
