Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

You can get a "number for port" from portmaster708 on Ebay for under $5 and port that in if you have any phone imei and matching sprint sim iccid that qualifies. Or a GoogleVoice number for $3.

You can continue using the phone where it is now if it qualifies on both carriers.

Then swap it in or add it later on if you want.

I updated the steps to include the T mobile account details if it helps others. To your question, yes each phone line has its own pin for Tmobile pay as you go/prepaid.

1)First, have your Sprint account number and PIN ready.
2) Order the Tmobile prepaid/pay as you go SIM card from Amazon. Its around $8.95..Chose one day shipping and pay extra $5 to get it the next day.
3) You don't have to recharge/reload the SIM. Once receive the SIM, call Tmobile customer care and ask them to port your sprint number to Tmobile. Just give them your Sprint Acc. no, PIN , Phone number and T mobile SIM card number
4) Your number will be ported to T mobile in less than 5 minutes. Your Tmobile Account number will be your phone number prefixed by 1 Ex: 1 214-xxx-xxxx and the pin number will be the one that you setup initially during the porting or activation process.Note that for each line in Tmobile prepaid, it will be a separate account number i.e. the phone number of each line prefixed by 1 for that line. Again PIN number would be what you have set during number porting/activation for each line.
5) Wait for about an hour and Chat with Sprint Customer care and verify if your account is cancelled. Someone mentioned you can also check the status on sprint byod page with IMEI number.
6) Now call back sprint telesales number and port your Tmobile number to Sprint with a different SSN ( a family members)
7) After about 45 mins or so with all credit check etc done, you are good to go for another one year.
Thanks for the steps. My free plan expires in September. I am planning to jump on this. Before that would like to clarify, can I use my old sprint sims to reactive? I know it's dumb question.

unlikely, but possible (with a bitof work)

sprint will not sell devices (EVEN AT FULL PRICE) without attaching them to some telephone number

u can go to BB, set up a new account (a new number) with sprint, then pay off immediately, port out number (effectively cancelling account and freeing up phone)

...then WITH ANOTHER SS NUMBER, sign up for this 1-YFP

For the 7+ use the card simolw506C in kit, for S9+ use simolw506TQ in kit. 416Q won't work with S9+.

Thanks,
Only Sprint version V30+(LS998) will work on Sprint, use simolw416Q or simglw416Q.
Edit Lg V30S (pre-order) was added to Sprint Byod 5/10/18.

Boost triple pack has: SIMOLW416Q + SIMOLW506C + SIMOLW506TQ

506C for iPhone 7+
416Q for S8+
506TQ for S9+

506C/506TC are the same
406TQ/506TQ are the same

Just to let you know what I did:

Search item number 173247016698 on ebay. The guy will message you a sim number almost instantly. Check the sim card number here [t-mobile.com]. The first one he sent me wasn't valid, he sent me another number that worked. As someone mentioned above, you don't actually need the physical sim card to port into T-mobile. Again, as someone mentioned, after you've ported out to T-mobile, check your phone's imei number on sprint here [sprint.com]. When the sprint site says the device is eligible, call the sprint number from the wiki.

I never gave T-mobile any personal information, nor did I pay $3 to set up the line. Like the wiki said, I just told them that I would get a prepaid card once the line ported over. I think the only "cost" of porting the number is the sim card cost?

Total time spent: ~30 minutes
