Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Thx so much... just wondering, would Verizon LG G4 work? If so what kind of Sprint sim does it need and where can I get immediately?

Spent more than 1 hour with Sprint rep to add my S8+ to their network. The rep told me that everything was ok but I couldn't call or text even after countless time turning the phone on and off. Spent another 30mins with CS via chat but couldn't solve the problem. Went to Corporate store and the guy told me that my phone wasn't put into the system yet Facepalm
What carrier were you porting over from?

Someone here more familiar with the LG G4 better answer this.
But just a guess, you may have difficulty finding a Sprint Sim card for that immediately.

BUT if things get tight just get the Best Buy Moto E4 and its Sim mentioned in my post above and its links, that's guaranteed to work.

I already had BYOD plan with 1 device so far and am planning to port-in another line from Freedompop. It takes anywhere 24 to 72 hours to port-in from FP. Will it be a problem since the activation will pass 5/17/18 deadline? Or, as long as I call Sprint telesale before 5/17, I will be fine.

Yes, the 5/31/19 date is confirmed multiple times.

The welcome email one gets from Sprint after the BYOD account is opened states:

"Dear XYZ Customer,

You've made a great choice with the Unlimited–Bring Your Phone Plan! You are well on your way to saving $900 in your first year with Sprint, compared to Verizon's 1-line unlimited plan. You get Unlimited Data, Talk and Text service free until 5/31/19 AND we've waived your activation fee! All this while you keep your same phone, phone number, special photos and fav apps and music.

This great choice also allows you to upgrade your device at sprint.com after 4 months. But remember, online is the only way to upgrade and continue your remaining months on this promotional plan.

Savings until 5/31/19; then $60/mo. for line 1, $40/mo. for line 2, and $30/mo. per line for lines 3-5. Reqs. AutoPay (discount applied w/in 2 invoices), new account, bring your own eligible device & Sprint SIM card. Savings claim compared to Verizon Go Unlimited rate plan for 1 line as of 3/22/18; features differ. Other monthly charges apply**. "

The fine print at the bottom of that email states:

"** Mo. charges excl. taxes & Sprint Surcharges [incl. USF charge of up to 18.4% (varies quarterly), up to $2.50 Admin. & 40¢ Reg. /line/mo.) & fees by area (approx. 5–20%)]. Surcharges are not taxes. See sprint.com/taxesandfees.
Offer ends 5/17/18. Limited time offer. Credit approval req. Req. AutoPay, eBill, and port-in from postpaid carrier. 1 year free Unlimited Offer: Eligible device must be unlocked and compatible with Sprint SIM card and network. Reqs. SIM card purchase ($2.99 + $10 S&H + tax). SIM must be activated prior to port-in. No device upgrade allowed during first four months. All upgrades must be made online or remaining free months will be forfeited. Phone features and network experience may vary based on original device carrier. Excl. ports made between Sprint or related entities. Unlimited -- Bring Your Phone Plan: Incl. unlimited domestic Long Distance calling, texting & data & 10GB of high-speed Mobile Hotspot, VPN & P2P. Third-party content/downloads are add'l. charge. Sel. non-premium int'l. svc. incl. See sprint.com/globalroaming. Max. 5 lines. Plan not avail. for tablets/MBB devices. After 5/31/19, plan will become Unlimited Freedom. Add a Line: Add a line at any time with port-in from postpaid carrier and Bring Your Own Eligible Phone up to the max. number of lines & get promotional pricing until 5/31/19. AutoPay: $5/mo. discount req. continued AutoPay enrollment. Quality of Svc. (QoS): Customers who use more than 23GB of data during a billing cycle will be deprioritized during times & places where the Sprint network is constrained. See sprint.com/networkmanagement for details. Usage Limitations: To improve data experience for the majority of users, throughput may be limited, varied or reduced on the network. Sprint may terminate svc. if off-network roaming usage in a mo. exceeds: (1) 800 min. or a majority of min.; or (2) 100MB or a majority of KB. Prohibited network use rules apply --see sprint.com/termsandconditions. Other Terms: Offer/coverage not avail. everywhere or for all phones/networks. May not be combinable with other offers, including but not limited to AA, Credit Union, Premium International Experience, Port-in credits, Visa Prepaid Reward Cards, Referral Rewards programs and Installment Billing/Lease promotions. Restrictions apply. See sprint.com for details.

I have 2 numbers on "reserve" from freedompop. They won't be ready until the 17th and the 22nd... idk why the 2nd # is that much longer. It doesn't matter though because Sprint has already added both numbers to my account under the byod promo Big Grin ... even if I can't use them yet

Thx for letting me know some potential back-up plans... I just recalled that I have a Sprint Moto E4 laying around (it was bought at Best Buy and used on Ring+). I just entered its IMEI number to the Spint BYOD checker, but it says:

Sorry, but our records show you still owe Sprint for this device. Sign in to find this device on your account.

Why? I paid it off entirely at once when I bought it at Best Buy. What should I do?

Also, I have a new SIM card "SIMOLW416Q" from the Apple store. That's the correct SIM for this phone, right? Thx again for your kind help.

This post holds the answer to the above message, but Comintel knows more about this message:

https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=115286847&postcount=18149

In that case there is no time right now to flip the MVNO flag of the phone back to Sprint so this phone can not be used on the BYOD plan until its flag gets flipped.
Perhaps it can be used on the BYOD plan as an additional line later after its flag gets flipped.

Thx... to give it a shot, I'm going to contact LiterallyUnlimited now... what is the correct thing I should tell him so he would understand what is needed to be done? Is it, 'please flip the flag of my Moto E4 phone to Post-Paid so that I may use it on Sprint'? Or something else?

When calling Sprint BYOD, do they ask some security questions and if so what kind? I want to be prepared with answers because I will use spouse' SSN.

Sometimes they do, sometimes not.

It would likely be impossible to know the answers for someone else, even a spouse, because they ask questions like which of these 4 car makes did you own when you lived on xxx street. Or which of these insurance companies did you use in 2002. etc.
