Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Did they extend it
The 17th date that was on promo webpage for a brief time has disappeared, but all of the fine print on promo page still says that the 1yr promo period will end 5/31/2019 (just double checked it). So it *might* continue until at least the end of this month, but knowing how these things can be, I wasn't willing to risk it and re-upped yesterday.

I suspect it'll continue until the govt makes a decision regarding the tmobile merger, but who knows.

You also waited till the "perceived" deadline when everybody is calling
Call was connected immediately so not the reason at all. It's only the self-interest of the sales rep that is driving this -- they want to make sure they get the commission so they keep you on the line till it's done. Another reason why I think it may end -- they know it's their last check!

I want to say 'poor tmobile' for being used like a rag, but now that they're the same company i guess it's just stupid that they still take porting from them. This is going to end soon if not today since by next month the combined metric for this promo will be clear that there was almost no net new subscribers.

On the other hand, Sprint gets $2.50 per line per month + last month's forfeited line charge (you should always close account near the end of the billing cycle for this reason), so maybe that covers their costs already. I doubt it.

Would you mind elaborating this a bit more...? Do you mean that you just ported out 2 different lines from Sprint BYOD account to TMO with only 1 TMO sim card...? Did you just port them out today (what time...?), and did you do 2 lines at the same time?

Have you tried to port them back in to Sprint BYOD yet?

Probably the t-mobile account doesn't close immediately after its number is ported out so you can port in again.

Would like to know as well, which would answer my question of whether I can start another new account from BYOD online page today instead of calling??

It now says this after checking phone eligibility on BYOD page:

AutoPay (discount applied w/in 2 invoices), new account, bring your own eligible device & Sprint SIM card. Savings claim compared to Verizon Unlimited rate plan for 1 line as of 5/31/17. Streams video up to HD 1080p, music up to 1.5mbps, gaming up to 8mbps. Data deprioritization during congestion. MHS, P2P and VPN reduced to 2G speeds after 10GB/mo. Other monthly charges apply.**"

It has been saying that for several days now. I have been tracking it. I think they just forgot to change it back to 5/31 when they changed everything else back to 5/31.

Reps are unreliable, they talk out of their ass. All their information have been wrong, about end date, about porting, about anything.

Extend your plans as far as you can folks because the era of cheap wireless may be coming to an end when we have our triopoly of Sprint/T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon.
http://bgr.com/2018/05/16/t-mobil...t-worried/

I'd be most worried if I were a T-Mobile or Sprint MVNO (Mintsim, Ting, etc.). Their low-end business model may get screwed over soon.

Thank you for the insight... when you said "billing cycle", did you mean the "Bill Period" that is printed on the bill, or does it depend on when the auto-pay payment appears?

For example, the latest bill statement that I can see says "Bill Period: Mar 23 - April 22, 2018". But my latest auto-pay payment is May 16 (yesterday). It seems the auto-pay always occurs around the 15th of every month (3/18, 4/15, 5/16).

Not sure what period the payment on 5/16 covered... (perhaps 3/23 - 4/22...?)
