Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Man Sprint still sucks. Don't have major issues with their service, but customer support? Sucks. Website? Sucks. Just problem after problem signing up for BYOD... all on their end.

What does it say if you check the different tester at

Now it's eligible, must have just needed time. Their customer service sucks though. When I called, they question why I'm calling so much and then hung up on me

I do not think they were suspicious, just trying to look up the port history of the number to sort out where it was at. They do not care about the round trip but they do care if port outs and port ins might be overlapping each other or reflect a mistake.

Is the phone now working on the temporary number? Call it and see and try calling out on it. Or is it still on Republic?

Also please try the imei on the link I posted and let us know what it says. It is much better to sort out the specific situation than answer general questions.

I do not yet understand where we are at right now well enough.

Also try calling 866-437-1818 and enter both numbers into the automated prompt and see what it says the port status of each is.
Yes, the new "temporary" number they gave me is working under Sprint like a charm. I just don't want to lose the number that I have had for the last 15 years. That number is still up and running on republic wireless. When I run the imei at the link you gave me it says:

"Sprint service already activated

This phone has already been activated for Sprint service."

Now, I do have others phone I can swap out to, but not sure how that would make a difference? So basically Sprint and Republic Wireless are both on the same IMEI phone. If I put in the Republic Wireless Sim it activates on Republic Wireless, and if I put in the Sprint SIM it goes back to Sprint.. Wondering why they said to for me to wait 48 hours and call back?

I don't think I was charged. If you plan on using a lot of data though, you might as well purchase their daily or weekly plan so data is much faster and usable, all depending on your country's network.
Anybody knows if sprint will give a good offer on completion of 12 months?

Just thinking whether I should close the old line and account which is into it's 10th month...
Also if any phone deal can be utilized before closing it?

I already opened new account using new San...

OK you are in overall good shape then.

What does the automated voice response at 866-437-1818 say when you put in the number you want to port in? That will tell you whether a port-in request is outstanding.

The only problem you could have is if too many conflicting port requests and cancellations are entered. That is why at all costs wait for timeouts to do their thing and do not cancel anything.

Republic Wireless is landline/voip numbers so they do not have to provide real-time status to Sprint or real-time port coordination to Sprint. That is why everything can take days when a mixup occurs. It is machine-to-machine only.

They are offering $100 to $200 bonus which is meager.

Sure you can make any deal you can.

Just call regular Customer Service and ask them to kick it up to Customer Account Services who will be happy to discuss/negotiate what they can do for you when time comes. I have done that.

They'll honor the terms and allow more lines to be added after tomorrow, right? I've been doing this dance one at a time and it is super painful and takes hours. Not even sure I can go through the dance before the end of today

I don't think anybody here would know. If you are still in good standing with them and did not abuse the buying of 20 Essentials or iPhones... Hehe... I think you may want to stay just in case if anything comes up the next couple of months.

I think they want me to take $30 plan..but still good $150 will cover 5 months....and gives me chance to get a phone if there is any good deal

I've been on the Sprint BYOD plan since last July. I have two lines and I'm using a Unlocked Moto E4 and a Sprint iPhone SE. Today I purchased the new Boost Moto G6 Play at Walmart for $80. I figured I would play around with it for a couple of weeks and then return it, unless I could find a service to unlock it, which I doubt because is so new on the market.

It's a nice phone for $80, and I like the 18:9 screen ratio. My daily phone is the Samsung S8 Plus. I did not power it up with the Boost (Sprint) sim card in it. I removed the card before powering it up. I also tried a Verizon sim card and got the 'invalid sim card' message. Then I decided to try and swap out one of my phones on my Sprint account via a chat session.

I figured it would get declined, but I was told I could do it. It took him 30 minutes but he finally got the G6 Plus working on one of my lines. I asked him if he had to whitelist the IMEI and he said yes, that's why it took so long. I checked to make sure everything worked and ended the chat.

Unfortunately, I then realized the Moto G6 was on the wrong line number. I started another chat and they checked everything on their end, IMEI's, ICCID's and said everything was correct. We spent another 45 minutes and could not resolve the problem. He said to wait until the morning and if it was still a problem to call the advanced specialist number, which he provided.

Not sure why my account is now screwed up. I was very careful in providing information about the phones and sim card numbers. Has anyone else been able to get a Boost phone on this plan? When I first powered up the phone after they whitelisted the IMEI, I saw a popup message for a second, which said something about 'Unlock Sim ......".

That's amazing that they let on a new Boost phone. I think you were lucky. Nobody else has. The line mixup has nothing to do with the fact it is a Boost phone. You may just need to do updates etc. in Settings, poewer cycles etc.

People with multiple phones on including high end ones like you tend to get extra favors, I have noticed.
