Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

OK you are in overall good shape then.

What does the automated voice response at 866-437-1818 say when you put in the number you want to port in? That will tell you whether a port-in request is outstanding.

The only problem you could have is if too many conflicting port requests and cancellations are entered. That is why at all costs wait for timeouts to do their thing and do not cancel anything.

Republic Wireless is landline/voip numbers so they do not have to provide real-time status to Sprint or real-time port coordination to Sprint. That is why everything can take days when a mixup occurs. It is machine-to-machine only.
Thanks! Sprint cancelled the original port request because of the number being wrong. I do know they tried to correct a least a few times. So to clarify, you can port or in this case swap in a phone number on top of the already existing Sprint phone number they just gave me? Actually when I called the number you gave me and enter the phone number I'm trying to Port it said that it's already an active phone number with Sprint? Could that mean that Republic Wireless transfered the number originally from Sprint, but didn't request or tell Sprint in order to cancel the account? The plot thickens! :-)

Tha';s amazing that they let on a new Boost phone. I think you were lucky. Nobody else has. The line mixup hqs nothing to do with the fact it is a Boost phone.
Yes, I agree. I expected to be told the phone was ineligible for the plan. I questioned him a couple of times after he said I could do it. I finally told him it was a Boost phone and he said no problem. He first reported that he could see it was a Motorola phone. He also knew the ICCID number on the card that came with the phone.

Just wondering why the lines are messed up? We were very careful with the phone swap. They are adamant that everything on their end is correct.

Just update prl, profile, activate on all involved phones and it will probably be ok or if not be easy for them to fix tomorrow..

Ok, thanks. We did reactivate a few times but no luck. The new Boost Moto E5 and G6 are starting to appear in Walmart stores. Verizon also had the Moto G6, but it was priced at $130. The Boost Moto E5 Play is $60, but for another $20 you can get the G6 Play which is much nicer phone.

You can if either
(1) they initiate it (as they did in your case)
or
(2) You understand everything in detail and approach Sprint properly to do it in just the right way.

Most people do not meet (2) and start calling around various Sprint departments with misworded questions which the reps do not even understand, and they start noting their account until there is an official NO on there, or do it wrong and mess things up.

See I suspected that might be the case. That is why it does not pay to act hastily.

Republic is not fully real time as I mentioned (they probably outsource their porting to someone else) so all should be fine. Since Sprint has the number now on a realtime basis, it is safe in my opinion. You can call the Sprint port department tomorrow if not fully completed and they will complete replacing your temporary number by your ported-in one. This is routine for them.

If I continue to check at the number you gave me, won't that give me an indication when it's able to be ported over?

It has already been ported in and is under Sprint's control now. They just need to swap it over top of your temporary number which they will probably do routinely or on request.

Test if your phone has picked it up yet (do profile update, activate, power cycle etc.) and if not, talk to the port department in the morning and they will complete that small remaining step instantly. Stay far away from TeleSales which understands nothing about anything.

Okay will do! Are you sure it's not showing as a still active number from the original time I was on Sprint?

Yes I am sure. Unless it never ported out in the first place but I assume it worked on RW so that is not the case.

Yes, it worked on RW and still is. I will do as you suggested in the morning and let you know how it goes. Thanks again for all your help!
