Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

This is the Sim card that came with the Moto G6 play and everyone said it was fine to use so hope that's true.
Several people here got this phone activated with its Sim card and no issues so far. I have no issues. Most likely it's a wrong Sim card # in Sprint's system.

Also when on Wifi, install the LTE Discovery app and see what it indicates. Anyway, it's a very useful app and you can see the LTE bands you're on, 25, 26, 41.

Where is the ICCID on DashBoard===I don't see it
Manage Devices/More Options/ Activate New Sim
will show your ICCID to compare.

If your phone shows LTE that is promising. How many bars?

Get the SignalCheck app. or LTE Discovery and start looking at dbM levels etc.

Most likely you have made so many settings changes now that some of them are wrong.

I would reset all Settings and start over.

Or take it to a Sprint store.

Should I do a factory reset and start over? not sure what would happen with Sprint if I did that. I haven't put any of my info on it so no big deal to do any kind of reset

Yes do so. It causes no problems whatsoever.
It should not be necessary to enter any # codes either. I would keep it simple with only obviously correct simple settings for a while and do not "try" anything that's not in the manual.

I would recommend removing the sim card from the phone and writing down the ICCID number. Compare it to what is on the label on the outside of the box. Then do a chat session to confirm what they have on their end.

I've activated two G6 Play's without any problems. When I activated the first one the rep already knew my ICCID number. A couple of days when I activated my second phone she asked for the ICCID number.

The current ICCID is displayed on the Dashboard under ManageDevices/More Options / Add a new sim card

I think my account is too new for that information. It allows me to upgrade tho Smilie. I looked all over it for the past few hours and can't find anything--so probably tomorrow. Still in upgrade mode. Good news tho. I did another profile reset and then went outside and I can get to internet but wow is it slow so my guess would be 3G well maybe 1G lol of negative G.
Slow as a turtle. I did have 4 bars then went down to 3 bars but I've had sprint phones in my house and they worked fine but I probably did have them hooked up to wifi.

4 bars LTE or 4 bars 3G are two different things.

You need to run SignalCheck or LTE Discovery.

The phone is probably fine but you in a weak signal area or your tower is down.

Try it elsewhere tomorrow before trying a lot of things.

You do not need to look around the dashboard, it should be right where I said.

Just to let you know what I did:

Search item number 173247016698 on ebay. The guy will message you a sim number almost instantly. Check the sim card number here [t-mobile.com]. The first one he sent me wasn't valid, he sent me another number that worked. As someone mentioned above, you don't actually need the physical sim card to port into T-mobile. Again, as someone mentioned, after you've ported out to T-mobile, check your phone's imei number on sprint here [sprint.com]. When the sprint site says the device is eligible, call the sprint number from the wiki.

I never gave T-mobile any personal information, nor did I pay $3 to set up the line. Like the wiki said, I just told them that I would get a prepaid card once the line ported over. I think the only "cost" of porting the number is the sim card cost?

Total time spent: ~30 minutes
Do you have to buy a new Sprint sim or can you use your "old" one?

Always use the existing sim only. Sprint sim cards are not intended to be replaced in the phone ever.

I opened it up and took a picture of the sim card and made sure it was in there correctly. The # agrees with what I gave them---I put it on word Doc. Phone is reading Sim card properly too.

Had to go outside to get it to do anything and the top bar showed 3g while loading the website so the card probably isn't working properly.

The question is does it match what is in the system.

Correct and the only way I will know is either wait until tomorrow for system to hopefully update my account or call them. I think I'll wait until tomorrow and then if it's wrong figure out what to do. Hopefully my information will show tomorrow.
