You should call Sprint tech support and ask for their 3rd level support.
I had a similar issue with a Moto G4 and it ended up being an issue with the ICCID card not properly activated by Sprint. It could have been a wrong digit in its number, but he told me the issue was with the ICCID card. He fixed it and no problems after that.

The first level tech support was useless.
I have a Sprint tech support #, see if it helps, if not call regular tech support and ask to be escalated to L3. 1-844-463-3194

I used the above number and asked for my new phone (Moto G6 Play) to replace my Moto G4 in the Sprint BYOD program.
No escalation requested.
They asked for the MEID (DEC) and asked where I got the phone "Wal-Mart",
then asked if it was a Sprint phone "Yes".
Do not use the "B" word, it is a Sprint CDMA-S phone.
Gave IMEI #
Booted up, working.
They even sent text and called to check connection!

Sprint has clarified that you can just slap the label on the box and return it. The weight limit on the label just refers to the Free limit. They will be billed for the overage. I returned mine that way no problem. It will be tracked and you can follow its route and so have proof of delivery.
If that was the case, why did they try to mail me more garbage o_O? Was your information from facebook? twitter? I'm assuming it was coming from a Sprint employee within the country and not George/Sarah/Thomas/Jennifer/whitesoundingname from Habibibad

Ok, I screwed up the first one. DO NOT try and activate the phone yourself. I also suggest NOT typing the IMEI on any checker or anything.

My second phone works fine.

So either 1st one never worked or I screwed it up. Off to Walmart to return and find another... You might want to just activate before you leave the store...

Here's what worked for me.

Buy Boost Mobile Moto G6 play from Walmart or Target, box upc label actually says Walmart/Target, I bough from Walmart.
Use Chat to request a phone swap.
Just send them your details, IMEI, Sim card number, phone number ect,
After a few minutes rep on chat told me to turn on phone.
Opened box and turned on phone.
Enjoy slick deal!! totally slick and sick!

Thanks for everyone that helped in this thread, New back to sprint and this is AWESOME!

As mentioned from others, review on web say 32G/3G ram. Boost version is 16G/2G. I've had a older G4 something with 2G mem and seems to work fine. Also this phone is not bloated with software so I expect it to be nice. The size is also great, almost the same as my iPhoneX. I don't expect high end performance, but cant see how I will go wrong at $80.

I see in this post Sprint's IMEI checker was used, and looking back I also see some people had to try more than once.

https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=115676087&postcount=19069

I'm thinking my non activated Boost phone was not messed up by me and might still be able to have it added into the system if I try again. Need to find another number to try and port...

I ended up activating the BM G6 play on Ting, since I need a line for my child and only need voice with very little minutes. I see my first bill at sprint and looks like I'm almost at $8 a line. I did a basic line at Ting for $6 and there's no 1 year promotion so I hope I can keep getting that rate.

My G6 is UICC locked to sprint, so not sure who to ask to unlock later, probably Ting? I'm guessing this phone would have activated on Sprint if I tried again before going to Ting. Now if I ever want to go to sprint later I think I need to get help from LitteralyUnlimited?

I have the actual bill now. Looks like each line will be $3 once they correct the autopay credit that should happen next month, so a little more for the first month.

What difference does it make? The reps are wrong 50% (maybe higher) of the time anyway. And there's no way to prove what they said anyway.

The acid test is not that they told you xxxx, but rather that the courier will accept it in that form on Sprint's account. That's all that matters. They would not accept it unless it was ok. Sprint sent you the label with adhesive on the back of it to send back the device. That's exactly what you're doing. You do not need anything more than that. If anyone made a mistake it's them not you. Ask the courier company if it is ok if you want to ask somebody. Or call and ask Sprint. I did not waste my time with either.

Or do a chat and say, "can I stick the return label on the original box and send it back." If they say yes, you have the transcript.

If you absolutely insist on getting a box, they will send one. I do not see the point but if you want to waste your time, go ahead and demand one.

I sent mine back the way I described and so have others and it worked fine.

I would just say I'm planning on going overseas and don't want to deal with roaming and long distance charges for forging countries and would like to use SIM cards on different networks while traveling with the phone I own.

I have devoted many hours trying to activate this offer and I want to ask for help one last time before I give up.

Background: I tried to activate online with 1 iPhone 6s and 2 iPhone SEs. All three showed eligible and I proceeded to the credit check. I received a message to call in and was then told that I would have to go to a Sprint store with 2 forms of ID. I did so and received an account number (after nearly 2 hours at the store) without adding devices.

With credit approval and an account number in hand I called the correct number to set up the account. Now, I am told that neither of the iPhone SEs are eligible for the offer and after over an hour of being shuffled around and being fed BS, the bottom line is no one knows why, or cares.

Does anyone have any thoughts? The phones are on the Sprint eligible device list. The phones were purchased new from Best Buy a year an a half ago and have always been on Verizon. I have no contract with Verizon. My Verizon account is paid in full. Why were they eligible last week, and not now?

I've searched but couldn't find it for sure and I want to make sure I can do this before starting.

I have a sprint galaxy s5 on sprint. I will port the number over to t-mobile using the prepaid sim method.

I also have an unopened Walmart boost moto g6 play.

If I call the byod number, will I be able to port over my number from t-mobile and activate it on the moto g6 play? Or will that definitely fail?

I can't tell if the people activating the moto g6 play already had accounts and just did a swap.

Just got a g6 play from walmart. Had a sprint sim card inside so i basically activated that along with the phone. Ported a number over from t-mobile. Took about 20 minutes for it to successfully port over and working. Had to update the PRL to get 4g going.
