Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Just called 1800 777 4681

The rep stated that the first month will be $65.35 and the following months will have credits to make the plan free. Not sure if he is correct or not and was on the phone for a good 1hr on hold while he talked to his supervisor.

Does anyone have the proper description of the plan ?

I do think that is likely and thought so initially, but i think you would be MUCH better to use BILLING CHAT and nothing other than that so you get a written transcript for future proof. Otherwise you have nothing except a memory.

The plan is fine except for the initial charge. (See mine below).

Also do not accept anything less than clear statements. You want to have in writing that the initial charge of $65.35 will be refunded. What you quoted does not say that clearly enough for my taste. If you cannot get that in writing then you are not finshed and need to escalate it by emailing Sprint VP [email protected] (search this thread for info about her).

Yes I did see that! I have done a few tests on the Moto G6 in other areas and signal strength seemed ok inside of buildings. Will still have to do more as I go to various stores, places. I launched Pandora at the gym and it buffered a few minutes (on LTE) and then played continuously all the way home and automatically hooked up to the wifi and never missed a beat. It also seemed to load webpages pretty fast. I did the speedtest also and it was between 16 -19 download (can't remember but at least it was capable.) Wish I could justify paying the price for an S8 but I don't use a cell phone that much so it's a pretty expensive investment for very little use and sure hate that you can't replace the batteries. I know most of the phones are coming that way now. On a plan I had with Selectel several years ago--1000 minutes lasted the whole year and only purchased 1 data card and that lasted me the year also. My main use is the home phone for business purposes so I have to have something that will work.
OK you're already being thorough I see.

In my opinion the wifi calling would be rock solid.

I was able to do this with my wife's phone. To get the free year of Virgin service we had to pay for the i-Phone upfront and I assume you had to do the same. I contacted them (Virgin) via email to unlock the phone and they did (they wanted to know if was for domestic or international). Ported over to T-Mobile and then ported back into Sprint with a new account in her name. Got a free SIM at the Apple store just to be sure but I think the Virgin SIM will also work.
Curious I've heard that phones that were previously on Sprint mvno are flagged and need the flags flipped. Was that the case with the virgin phone? I'm thinking about doing the same thing and have gotten my virgin phone unlocked but don't know about the flag issue

Virgin is not an mvno and the mvno flag issue does not apply at all.

Virgin is part of Sprint, not a separate company.

(There is another completely separate flag for Virgin though, which needs to be reset by Virgin to allow you to move the phone to Sprint PostPaid. LiterallyUnlimited will not touch Virgin or Boost phones).

It boosts weak data signals but will do nothing for voice. If you have wifi you do not need it. Ignore the number it is just for bookkeeping.

Mine double or triples download speeds but if the signal at your place is TOO weak, it will not be useful.

I sure hope they call me vs just shipping me something that won't work. I don't care about download--I use wifi for that---I do care about being able to use the phone and texting---need better signal. I thought you said earlier that it was just for data and I just looked it up and that's what it said---they talked about putting something on the window or near the window so hopefully that's what they will send.

I have to assume that with Wifi calling you can use it when the computer is off because the phone is running off of the router and not the computer. I will have to do a little experimenting with this first and see how stable it is.

They are shipping it if it shows on your account so I would call and cancel or refuse delivery, otherwise it will be a time-waster. See they did not focus closely enough on what the actual problem was. What you COULD use would be an Airave instead https://www.sprint.com/landings/airave/ as that would work for all your phones, even those without wifi calling.

Definitely Wifi Calling talks to your router and not your computer. Some junk routers might give problems.

Sorry I misunderstood you before. This is just a line to port from I think. I have not tried this. You could probably port in and out also after receiving. I assume it's just a new account that is already setup.

LOL got in a chat to try and get the order for the boxes canceled and then found out they were shipped so figured I'd see if I could get the Moto G6 unlocked.

Funny here's the conversation Yeimi C.: Is this phone a Bring your Own device?
You: yes it is
Yeimi C.: So then your phone is unlock you should be able to use it with another carrier if you want.
You: can you submit for it to be unlocked

Well partially correct so I did say the Verizon sim wouldn't work and asked again if he could unlock it and then said he'd try to put in a ticket for it. Hmmm we will see how that goes.

He also made me pay any balance on account before unlocking! I said really he said yes you owe $1.42 and I said it's on auto pay. He said the account had to be zero before unlocking a device. This was before he knew it was BYOD. I think this conversation is going downhill completely.

Well he came back and said my phone is unlocked Hmm I said are you sure your looking at the Moto G6 Play and he said yes it says it's unlocked and should work on any carrier. I wonder if they unlocked them or if he doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. I have to see if I can find a sim card to put in it to see what happens. Anyone else check their's lately?

You don't need a sim to see if it's unlocked. Go to settings/ system/ system update/ uicc unlock and that will tell you if it's been unlocked or not.

Yes. Submitted request through account services. Did not get any update even after 48 hours. So asked the status in international chat. They provided this as the reason
