Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

when i ported back to free line it was not allowing(throwing some error) customer care team connected me to credit check team and deleted my existing social record without any questions.
Ok well there it is right there. As I mentioned just above, they have to manually remove the SSN from the old account to allow creation of a new account with the same SSN within 45 days while the old account is not yet deleted. The system does not allow more than one account with the same SSN.

In general, they have not been willing to do that. Many people have tried. They were willing to do it for you.

Will they do it for others coming from a free account? Certainly not automatically, judging by others' experiences, but anyone is welcome to try.

Anyway it is good to have confirmation of the details. I think that with good social engineering skills, or just random luck, some people may be able to pull it off. There are hints from your experience as to how to approach it. I would say give them a good excuse / story-line.

In fact, your experience is invaluable because it gives me some ideas for how to possibly renew my free year for yet a third "year" down the road if the offer continues long enough.

I just received an email notification from Sprint that my G6 Play is unlocked. Confirmed it is unlocked and installed an active AT&T sim card. Everything is working on AT&T. Also, it looks like VoLTE is also working. Wifi calling does not work.

It took three days for the unlock. I've had my account for ten months and the phone was on my line for two days before I submitted for the unlock. The rep wanted to know why I was unlocking the phone and tried to up sell some stuff. She confirmed with me the phone was paid off.

Good luck to all. This is a lot of phone value for $80!

How to get this....my Walmart nearby shows two in inventory but when I go there I don't see it on the shelves..

Also is it even better than Moto G5 Plus 2GB/32GB which is available in $70?

You need to ask them if they have it in stock. I saw them on the racks at one Walmart and just glanced at them and went and purchased the G5 at Target. Later I found out from this Forum that the Boost Moto G6 play would work and went to another Walmart- (called first to see if they had them in stock) and they had them in lock up. You might not see them on the racks.

Where are you finding the Moto G5 plus for $70????

I have an Essential Phone with $90+$30 left on the flex lease on one of my 5 lines. I ultimately want to keep the phone once it is paid off.

I plan to switch to my Moto X Pure via chat for that line before porting line out to T-Mo, and back to BYOD under new SSN.

Does anyone have experience porting out all lines (closing account) while a flex lease is still in effect? What will happen? Will I have an issue porting in the line that had the flex lease because it is not yet paid off?

I will likely pay off the flex lease before porting out but I haven't heard anyone mention this scenario, maybe because everyone was paying it off right away to unlock it early on?
Pay off the phone and the outright purchase amount of $90 before porting out. Porting instantly closes the account and any monies due Sprint will come out of your card on file. If you don't pay it off you may end up having to return it with no lease buyout option

Just to clarify
Over the phone account setup and porting is the best.
but is chatting online gives the same result?

Virgin is not an mvno and the mvno flag issue does not apply at all.

Virgin is part of Sprint, not a separate company.

(There is another completely separate flag for Virgin though, which needs to be reset by Virgin to allow you to move the phone to Sprint PostPaid. LiterallyUnlimited will not touch Virgin or Boost phones).

All I did was contact Virgin via email to get the phone unlocked, moved it to another carrier on a Wednesday, went to the Apple store on Saturday and got a free Sprint SIM, came home and setup a new account for her with Sprint.

You cannot set up an account by chat, and you cannot port in a line later by chat either.

Right - you dealt with Virgin to get it unlocked. That is exactly what has to be done. (There is no mvno flag involved as Virgin is not an mvno)..

Another datapoint for activating the Boost G6Play.

So far so good but I'm sad to leave my ZTE Blade V8 Pro behind. But the cost of the G6 Play plus Sprint service was less than half the cost of another year with Mint.
