Another datapoint for activating the Boost G6Play.

So far so good but I'm sad to leave my ZTE Blade V8 Pro behind. But the cost of the G6 Play plus Sprint service was less than half the cost of another year with Mint.
You did this over the phone, which MEID (Hex or Dec) and you used the SIM ICCID from Boost also. Thanks in advance.

I used the MEID HEX as the IMEI. I think the DEC would have worked as well though.

Anyone activated the Boost G6 Play online with success? Or just phone and chat?
I've had 0 success online self with Sprint, 1 with phone call, 1 online chat.
1 online with Ting

Pay off the phone and the outright purchase amount of $90 before porting out. Porting instantly closes the account and any monies due Sprint will come out of your card on file. If you don't pay it off you may end up having to return it with no lease buyout option
Thanks, trying to get all my ducks in a row before calling. I definitely want to keep the Essential Phone and want to port the number back into Sprint without issue. I figured I wouldn't be able to port in the Essential Phone back into Sprint, even after the payoff, which is why I was going to swap to the Moto X Pure first... Or can you port back in with the Essential phone with Sprint Customer Service (as opposed to online self service)?

You may want to pay off the phone and then submit for unlocking before you port out. It takes about three days for the unlock after you submit.

You can Port the same phone right back in. I don't remember if you mentioned, but get the phone unlocked. So you can Port out and back in.

None if you've had 2 or less in the past 2 years. Less than five points for each inquiry after.
