Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

first time I did this with a prepaid card, what is the process if you buy the SIM digitally on ebay?
Tmobile digital sim? You will need to put $3 on the account, I supposed you could use a tombile prepaid credit, I just used my visa.

No you can just use the phone on sprint when you buy it, as long as they are still accepting onto sprint since this is a Boost Phone. I was not able to use the website to switch to this phone. I have been successful with Calling in and using the Chat on website to activate the phone. You should be able to activate the phone without even taking it out of the box.

The unlocking is for future use, I want to be ready for options when my 1 year is up.

I just wanted to put clarity on the part of the message about being unlockable.
Since this is a Boost phone, officially the unlock should come from boost, which you will need to contact them for unlock.
Presently the G6 play's registered onto Sprint appear to be ICC locked to sprint, and sprint appears to be able to provide unlock at this time if you qualify.
Thanks for clarifying. But what do you mean by unlock-able 'if you qualify'? Is there a condition for getting the unlock done either at Sprint or Boost?
Thanks

The Boost Mobile Moto G6 Play is $79 at Walmart and has been successfully activated on this plan by many in this thread. You can use the MEID and ICCID on the bottom of the box to activate a new Sprint line before unsealing the box. If it doesn't work you can return it to WM. https://brickseek.com/walmart-inv...=247042233
Edit: It may or may not be unlockable though.
Which version of the phone is this?

Boost needs to have the phone active for some time with them, what I saw on their site was not too clear, maybe 60 days, maybe longer.

Sprint requires phone to be paid off and on their network for 50 days, however this is not technically one of their phones so in the future or anytime they could deny unlocking it. A few people have reported being able to get it unlocked prior to being active 50 days. They have been customers longer. I started the request on my other line for a different phone, and also a customer for a while, but the phone has not been on 50 days either. I just mentioned this one as we were talking about my travel plans and asked if they would also unlock it for me. The rep was nice enough to..

Just don't want people to think they are guaranteed at getting it unlocked, especially since we are using some kind of loophole. The unlocking is not necessary for using on sprint, but just makes buying the phone a better deal.

I see, thank you...repped. Currently using a Moto E4+ 32GB, 2GB RAM with this deal bought at AMZN for ~$100. Has a 5000 mah battery which is amazing.

Not sure if those specs warrant an upgrade over this.

Was able to pick up the Boost G6 Play from Walmart today and activate it by calling Sprint customer support. I already have service from them, was a swap for my daughter's moto G4 that was having issues. Big sell for her was the 4000 mah battery.

I don't think there's a clearance in the g6 play. It was just released a few weeks ago.

Which version is it? 16GB ROM/ 2GB RAM?

If its the higher one, Im definitely jumping in to move up from an E4+.

The swap had no problems ?

It is only a loophole that these phones were allowed to be sold without in-store activation on Boost. Walmart goofed up. According to a report on Reddit, Walmart has told employees not to sell them except with in-store activation on Boost.

Boost as a prepaid carrier requires one year on Boost to unlock. Your phone will not qualify for this obviously.

"Prepaid Unlocking Policy. Carriers, upon request, will unlock mobile wireless devices no later than one year after initial activation, consistent with reasonable time, payment, or usage requirements." https://www.fcc.gov/general/cell-phone-unlocking

However. if they do sell you one and you manage to activate on Sprint, Sprint postpaid requires only 50 days to unlock. Unless they call you on it and say go to Boost to unlock. But your odds are good so far.

Its the 2GB/16GB version. Swapped without any issue, just needed the MEID from the box.

Awesome, thanks! No reason to switch from an E4+ then.
