Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I have the same question, picking one up tomorrow. Can't I just take the sim out of my current Sprint phone use it in the new G6 without having to activate anything else?
No that is a GSM practice that has no applicability whatsoever in Sprint, which activates by phone IMEI, not by sim ICCID.

According to Ting you need sim SIMOLW416Q or SIMGLW416Q for the Motorola Moto G6. Either will do.

It is in the $9.99 Boost sim kit available at BestBuy and elsewhere.

(This is NOT the same sim as needed by G6 Play which is SIMOLW406TQ according to Ting but you do not need one with the Boost Moto G6 Play because it comes with one).

Tried to activate a G6 that I purchased earlier today; tonight and was told that Sprint prepaid phones don't work with Sprint

Is it G6 or G6 play... And did you tell them it was sprint prepaid phone or did they tell you this after getting IMEI from you ?
Try a different rep, try online.
Do not use the word Boost.
That it usually goes through so far is a loophole and people have often had to talk their way around a skeptical rep.

I have few questions, would appreciate if someone could clarify/answer them:
1. If I have two lines under one account (ATT), will I be able to port both lines into sprint and get 1 year free (one by one that is)? Would they run credit twice?

2. Once the numbers are ported into sprint, will I be able to change the device (to another eligible device on the list)?

Thank you in advance.........

When they run credit hard pull, they will tell you how many lines you are qualified.

Did you check the IMEI online before you call Sprint?

For question 1: Yes, your iphone 6s plus will work with Sprint as it has all the bands for every major carrier both GSM and CDMA. I believe the iphone 6 models, 6s models and SE models all came with every band, regardless if it was locked to a carrier.

Why he or we have to face all this....when online eligibility shows eligible then why would it give rep an error with IMEI?
Any idea

In this case do you think it is better to swap this boost phone online on my existing line (I hope it will go through because shows eligible in eligibility check ifI1year page) I
and then use iphone from that line to get new line...

Purchased Moto G6 Play from Walmart on June 2, 2018. Activated Sprint service through the phone call (866-782-8777) on June 4, 2018 using MEID (HEX) and ICCID; however, the port in from Google Voice has some delay. I called Sprint's port-in department (866-437-1818 ) for a status quote and was told that I need to wait two business days.

So run it by the ting checker and then the Sprint checker. If it passes, try calling again. Don't mention boost, prepaid or Walmart. 😁

I would do just that but swap by using chat. Curious to see if maybe loophole is closed.

I would try that yes. However I am not 100% certain that that will work either because I have had swaps rejected at swap time for being a prepaid phone.

If he tested it in the online checker and it said it was ok (I do not know if he did) but the rep said otherwise, then some reps are doing a different check or a manual interpretation just from the name. That would not be a complete surprise because some of them have been rejecting older Sprint postpaid phones in some cases but even relenting and letting them through in others. So I suspect it is manual. Or it could be they are using a different code level of the checker.

We just do not know.

Another possibility is maybe now that the Moto G6 regular version is released just yesterday or today, they updated the database for that or have new guidelines that distinguish between the two versions.

I would try something as I doubt it will get any better with time.

Anyone know if Walmart will take the G6 back if it's been opened? I bought 2 and opened one to check the IMEI, I haven't tried to chat and activate yet. A little worried now if it won't and I try to return it, they might not take it back. The box didn't seem to have any warnings that once opened it was unreturnable. I bought 2 but only opened the one so far.
