Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Two Questions:

1) when porting back into sprint after having ported out to tmobile from sprint, is it possible to re-use the old SIM card?

2) when signing up online, is there a way to simultaneously open a 4 line "unlimited kickstart" account, or does a multi-line account need to be done on the phone?

I don't have sprint compatible phones.

I have friends from overseas visiting with iPhones. I checked all their IMEIs and all their phones work. I was thinking about signing them up for the plan, save the SIM cards and within a few weeks find compatible phones for this plan.

Do you guys think this will work?

Sure you can activate their IMEI's now and later do an IMEI swap to other IMEI's but the sim cards are not a major factor. You can never swap service just by moving a sim card alone on Sprint. I think you are thinking of other carriers who allow you to just move a sim to change to a different phone.

Everything goes by IMEI only on Sprint. To switch phones you do an IMEI swap only. The new phone qualifies based on its own eligible IMEi, regardless of its sim ICCID.

The new phones probably will require different sim card part numbers anyway which is not a problem since everything goes by IMEI only. Again it is not like other carriers where you can just move any sim to any phone.

So I bought the virtual T-Mobile sims without checking this but when you use the virtual T-Mobile sim
to port to T-Mobile, do you keep your phone numbers from your sprint account?

i want to keep my numbers for 3 lines and was wondering if I can use the virtual T-Mobile sim to do so?

I was hoping to do this but maybe i can't use the virtual sims to keep my phone numbers and need actual sims for that?

There are 2 types of virtual sims on ebay. 1 comes with a phone number and 1 just the sim number. You need the one just the sim number to port your Sprint phone to T-Mobile. After its done. You can port back to Sprint.

Hey guys I have read some of the info in this thread. But I would really appreciate it, if someone can help me out a little more. My one year of free service ends in July, and I wanted to know what's the best way to port out and port back in for another year of free service. I want to keep my numbers.

So if I use T-Mobile to port out, should I get an actual sim or will the virtual sim I see listed on eBay work if I want to keep my numbers?

also if I port out to T-Mobile how long do I have to wait until I can port back in, and will i be able to
use my old sprint sims or should I get new ones?

Also if anybody wants to message me a referral link for the $50, I can use that. : )

thanks for the help, Or is there a better way I should go about this.
I'll give you my experience before someone flames you for asking questions everyone else keeps asking.

I only had one line but use the info towards the top of the wiki for the digital sim info. You can order a physical sim if you want but the digital was fast and easy. Ordered it, verified it was ready to activate on t-mobile website after receiving it a few minutes later, then called t mobile to set up new account/port over. Make sure you are clear you want to set up prepaid account, they will transfer you to the India call center. Go through the steps to port over with the agent and just say you wanna use prepaid cards, you won't need to give credit card or personal info. Make sure and take note of new pin you set up, account number will be the phone number. Once it goes through, verify account is closed and not active with sprint. You can use the link for this promo to check phone info to see if it's ready to go. Then call sprint back and set up new account. Must be a new person opening it/new ssn. You can use same phones and sims. Took a little over an hour total because of language barrier. And FYI the referral doesn't work anymore, that was only last year before terms were updated. Good luck!

Do I need to go to my Sprint account online to enable the roaming?
In the last few days, When I travel to non-Sprint coverage area, my Sprint didn't roam to their partners.

I know because I stopped my car sit there for like 5 minute. Nothing happen. No data, no voice.
When I go home, I check the coverage map, I see At&t and Verizon are in that area.

Can you Check Preferred Network type?

https://imgur.com/a/YaMql2R

What does it show in your Sprint phone?
Mine looks just like your, and I also have roaming enabled on the menu above it.

I do see in my usage I have used a little bit of roaming, but I dont know how it really works. Since there have been times my moto will not work, I'll have to note the signal strength at the time. At the same time I've used my ATT phone just fine so I dont know why sprint didnt just roam over.

0.627/See Terms MB (My roaming use)

Also if roaming was really super seamless I dont think there would be an issue of coverage since there is generally at least 1 carrier with good strength pretty much anywhere around me (Verizon).
