Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Do you guys face this problem
.

Today I was travelling to little 10miles towards other end of city...
Phone was continuously showing LTE and even I restarted it and still showing LTE...but I was not able to load Google maps or even google.com.... so data was not working at all for 10mins and started working after I traveled 5-10mins more in the car ....

I felt like there is no sprint signal but it was signal in phone and as I said LTE too.... Then I thought I used data perhaps more than a limit on free plan...is it 23gb free?

It randomly happens actually earlier too but always used to stop only for few seconds...but today was for multiple minutes
If network really congested you may experience data prioritization.
Quality of Svc. (QoS): Customers who use more than 23GB of data during a billing cycle will be deprioritized during times & places where the Sprint network is constrained. See sprint.com/networkmanagement for details.

There are many aspects.

First you have to run SignalCheck Pro ($) or LTE Discovery to understand what the performance and reliability is on various bands.

I have learned for my area where each of 25, 26 and 41 has its strengths and weaknesses.

The phone makes a big difference. I find that my S8+ will quite quickly abandon a band that is not giving any throughput for a better one, but some other phones will stick with a zero-throughput band for a long time.

Sometimes when there are are tower outages (we have lots of storms here) I have to turn my Magic Box off because it will it will switch to band 25 and stay there when band 41 gets weak. My S8+ has better judgment and will stay with a weaker but more reliable band 41 (in my case) or of course band 26 (which the Magic Box does not support). Some phones are like that too. They make poor choices of bands.

To get a handle on all this you have start by knowing and understanding the bands you are using on given phones and in given areas. Until I finally understood these patterns I was lost and everything seemed random. Now I can quickly react. I use my phones for home Internet as well as away from home.

On my S8+ I can even force the band in an emergency.

It is unlimited free but over 23 GB you may occasionally be de-prioritized in areas of heavy load (mainly on lower bands).

How did you do it? I need a cheap phone to port in to and seems like there are no good options on Swappa. I was hoping for a new phone so was thinking a Moto E4, but no one has mentioned a boost E4 (or even better new E5 Play) on here. Were your phones new in box or what?

TIA
Cheap can be a used Verizon iPhone 5s.

I don't know anyone else's SSN, can I just use my son's who is only 2 years old? I don't think there is any credit history with the SSN, will that be a problem?

Shouldn't, but you may have to use someone else's SSN to join back on Sprint before 45 days.

Used Kyocera DuraXT E4277 for $16. Anything more than a flip phone would be too complicated for some.

You son has be minimum 18 years of age I believe from these threads, I might be wrong so google more about it

Secondly, I think it is sort of identity theft to use your son's SSN. He is under 18 so he can't give consent and you are taking/creating a new form of credit under his name, I believe it is sort of crime?

https://www.reddit.com/r/personal...18_to_get/

If you want, I can add you under me in my free year account but you will have no privacy as I can see all your calls made to and received and phone numbers you texted/SMS in monthly statement. It is great if you just want to use it for internet usage and hotspot

Okay so i finally got my account activated and it's up and running. My husband decided he wants to try out the sprint because ATT is spotty at his office area. My question is this....can we swap the SIM card with our phone. Will that cause any issues or throw a red flag?
Both of our phones are unlocked. I have iPhone 6 Sprint / hubby has iPhone 6 Plus with ATT

Sorry for being late for the party Smilie I have a Boost mobile iPhone se that I got last year during a Boost promotion. I paid full price and had it unlocked by Unlockforless. The phone has been working fine with tracfone. However, when trying to sign up for this deal, I was told the phone has unpaid balance. Can anyone advise how to fix it? Thanks!!!

I had to remove my sim, boot phone without it inserted, then put it back in and restart.
Thanks tired that but that didn't work. Updated PRL and profile (and then switched network from auto to LTE/CDMA) and that atleast got LTE to show up. Now speed has gone up from 0.5 mpbs to 1.5 mbps.
Better than nothing.

Mine looks just like your, and I also have roaming enabled on the menu above it.

I do see in my usage I have used a little bit of roaming, but I dont know how it really works. Since there have been times my moto will not work, I'll have to note the signal strength at the time. At the same time I've used my ATT phone just fine so I dont know why sprint didnt just roam over.

0.627/See Terms MB (My roaming use)

Also if roaming was really super seamless I dont think there would be an issue of coverage since there is generally at least 1 carrier with good strength pretty much anywhere around me (Verizon).

What phone do you use on Sprint?

Sprint doesn't work like that, you could do that in GSM (like T-Mobile/AT&T) but not CDMA as in CDMA they pair SIM with Device, you would have to swap IMEI/Device online or ask Sprint Support and there is a chance they will mess it up somehow and convert your plan to normal/full price plan if before 120 days (read about it at https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/c...fter_port/ ) Someone at Howard Forums swapped devices before 120 days and Sprint Rep cancelled customer's free year offer Read - https://www.howardforums.com/show...st16877634

What I suggest is, grab a disposable number for hubby from google voice at 3$ at
https://www.google.com/voice/unlock and port that into Sprint. Your hubby can swap Sprint and AT&T sim without problems, does that make sense?

Every US Postpaid wireless carrier does that, it is a new form of credit just like credit card. Verizon does it, AT&T does it, Sprint does it. T-Mobile does it.

Prepaid services obviously do not require a credit check. I have 4 lines and I am saving almost 100$/Month compared to T-Mobile, so this saved me almost 1200$, which I think is nice, but if you only have single line, hard inquiry is not worth it, so it is up to you.
