Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Just received my first bill from the one year free promo. It says I owe 110$? Has anyone else had this issue?

That sounds wrong. My first bill for 2 lines was about $16, after a quick chat they credit me $10 since I should have gotten autopay discount.

Unless you have about 12 lines... Check your bill and chat with them.

What's the quickest and cheapest way to get an eligible phone for the FREE Unlimited promo to park an additional number? I'm trying to find IMEI from a super old broken iphone 6, but not sure I can breathe enough life into it to read the IMEI. (Screen badly damaged, etc)

Mostly need to park and preserve the number, and have a fifth line approved already in my Sprint account, so at some level even an IMEI number of a dead device might do -- although I've heard if the phone number is never used, ti raises fraud alerts and shuts down all numbers? Is that right? I don't mind buying a cheapo phone either, might be handy as a backup.

I also have a phone on Freedompop, but not sure how to deactivate and how long it takes for an IMEI to be cleared and ready to recycle?

Thanks for your suggestions and ideas.

You can plug the phone in and get the IMEI from itunes. Just left click on the phone number field (where it says N/A or the old sim's phone number) until you see it.

None of my phones are compatible. Any easy route for getting a decent phone which would pass this IMEI check?

If we get on this before it ends (June 30th?), can we then add lines after that? Or it's all or nothing right now?

I had a phone on Fredompop(Sprint) and when I cancelled the account myself in the account webpage the device was released right away.

But, I was activating it next on Tello, not Sprint. It was a Boost LG Volt so it couldn't have worked on Sprint and I never tried it. So I don't know if a non-prepaid phone released by Freedompop would work or not.

Craigslist or a pawn shop. Just check that it works before you finalize the deal. Personally I think an LG G4 or LG G5 give the most bang for the buck.

this is where you should check..

Does the LG G4 have to be Sprint---I think it does. I have a Verizon LG-G4 and I don't think it will work. Sure wish it would tho.

Once my line is activated, I'm going to switch to a Galaxy Note 4. How do I know whether or not I need a special SIM? (I ask because of all the comments in the wiki about how some phones need a special SIM card, not the one that Sprint mails to you).

I don't have good luck with used phone batteries and bugs (especially low end ones start slowing down and acting weird). I picked up a Moto G6 for Boost from Wal-Mart today and I was up and running with no issues. Even passes the online IMEI check (I did activation over the phone though). For under $100 I'm up and running for the next year. Saving $50-$60 for a phone that may last half as long is not worth it for my use.

There has been a lot of debate about this over the last year. My thinking is that as it states in the T&C we will be able to add lines up to the maximum of 5 throughout this year.
Some think when the plan stops accepting new orders, no more adds.
So if you already have them ready to go by all means do it.

If I understand correctly the old account that still open will still have a 2018 and date. So yes, open a new account on a new SS number. Port numbers out and back in if they are currently on Sprint.
Thanks for the reply, freddiez.

Does that mean my second account was not completely cancelled by Sprint even though there has been no lines in there for 4+ months?

For folks who became a "new Sprint customer after 45 days", did their Sprint.Com accounts become completely inaccessible after 45 days of last port-out?

The other SSNs I have are all for minors and am guessing won't work?

I did the 45-day exit. My account information was no longer available online. So that's why I suspect you or is it still active somehow. I don't know that for sure though.
I would just call them and inquire about your old account and tell them that you want to make sure it's completely shut down and has been for 45 days. They're usually very helpful.
