Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

no.

the reason why my plan changed should be I entered wrong PIN for the first time I port in my phone number.

so I cancel that port in and initiate another port in.
I had the same issue as you. Wrong information provided for porting out as I was using FreedomPop. Received email to call them back and that is where the problem starts. Don't call using the email provided number or the porting number.
Always use the BYOD Free 1yr number
866-782-8777.

I had to call twice before I was changed back. First time only credit back for 1 month charge but account never change. Remember if you enroll in the free hulu, removed that. Free hulu only for the Sprint unlimited plan with full payment. Even now after three months, I am still getting adjustment for the full payment I made one month.

I have the same question, picking one up tomorrow. Can't I just take the sim out of my current Sprint phone use it in the new G6 without having to activate anything else?
Were you able to successfully activate a new unlocked Moto G6? (for others reading this, I'm not referring to the G6 Play)

If so, did you follow comintel's advice and order the correct SIM card? ("According to Ting you need sim SIMOLW416Q [sprint.com] or SIMGLW416Q for the Motorola Moto G6. Either will do.")

Anyone else out there with direct experience purchasing an unlocked G6 (*not* the Play version) and activating with BYOD? If so, did you hit any snags along the way?

I know in theory there shouldn't be any problem purchasing an unlocked G6 to activate with BYOD (assuming no other eligibility issues separate & apart from the device/SIM), but unless I missed it in this massive thread I haven't yet seen a documented success story with the G6.

I bought the moto g6 direct from motorola, added simglw416q. works fine

Tello being a sprint MVNO may be a problem. You may need to get the database flag flipped. Please rep 'comintel' for this solution
The moto e should be no problem. You may want to do this one first and call later to add the iphone.
How do i know whether Tello phone has this problem when i am trying to check on sprint website with my google voice number (not the tello number) and phone that is on tello, it says number is not eligible for transfer.

I am possibly stupid, but I just had the worst time trying to get my phone unlocked from Xfinity.

To unlock the phone, you have to send an email to their unlock team. Be aware that the phone needs to be active on the line and fully paid off. I didn't have it active, so they told me they couldn't do it.

Luckily, a support person helped me on the forums and I switched the active Xfinity SIM card to the non-active phone. Once it registers that the phone is on your account again, email their unlock team with the information they require. Keep the phone active until you get the code.

Then, just switch the SIM cards again.

Hope this helps someone so that they don't end up almost a week without getting Sprint.

I think you used digital sim number bought from ebay. Have a couple of questions:
1) Did you get both activation code and sim card number to port in to T mobile prepaid service, or just digital sim number is enough nowadays?
2)Did you have to call T Mobile to process the activation and port in, or can it be done online?
3) How did you verify the completion of port in and activation with T Mobile since you cannot use the phone without physical sim card?

Thanks.

Extended the promotion for the second year. Just followed the instructions per the two posts on the wiki. Everything went through smooth and easy. Just takes abt 45 mins for each line for the whole process. Thanks for providing detailed information.

It will have that problem (and that solution) but you cannot even check until it is off Tello. Tello uses Sprint so the phone is currently active on Sprint and therefore will be rejected for that reason alone.

After you get it off Tello, then you will get the ownership problem "money owed to Sprint" error and will need to contact LiterallyUnlimited to fix that. But he cannot touch it until it is off Tello first and you cannot check it until then either.

5 lines if your credit is satisfactory.
Thank you for the response! I have 2 lines on my sprint account right now and until I get an eligible phone for the second line I am porting the first line over to tmobile then back to sprint for the free plan. I have the sim card number for tmo I bought from ebay. Since the second line will still be on my sprint account then the line I am porting over won't be eligible on the new plan because the account would still be showing as open and active right? Is it safe to port over or should I wait until I get a phone for the second line?

I don't know if I follow you but I know what I would do on Tello. I have plenty of spare sprint phones so I'd just swap out the Tello phone (for free) to clean up any ESN problem. Tello would release your old ESN within the hour and would check free and clear on sites like Swapp or TING.

There is also a new MVNO for those old ringplus phones, $10 unlimited if you like https://slickdeals.net/f/11719739-unlimited-talk-text-and-data-1gb-high-speed-4g-lte-unlimited-2g-for-10-a-month-at-unreal-mobile

You could have paid $5 more, you would get unlimited LTE Data (not unlimited throttled slow ass data bullshit) and Free roaming.

first gig is full speed LTE on unreal, just like Tello then throttled back to 2g. data rollover and tether is a big deal. Also this deal is for a year and unreal is for as long as they last. If it's not for you then wait a week something new will come along, more downward prices is a good thing. Just plugging in other options, doesn't hurt to shop around.

I'm not sure what you're asking. You can't port out and in at all if you don't have a new SS# as you currently have a sprint account. You can't just port one over to the free plan using your same info. If you do have a different SS# to use, you can port both numbers out to the new account.

The secondary line is going to use their ssn on the new account. They don't have a phone to use on sprint yet so I want to port over to tmobile first. We currently have 1 account (under my name). So when I (using their ssn) port out to tmo they will stay on sprint and the account will stay open until they get a new phone this week. If I try to port back to sprint from tmo will I be able to since the account isn't closed? Or by account did the wiki really just mean the phone number?
