Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Anyone remember what the terms were if I opened my account 7/27/17? I've been trying to dig through but just can't find it.

I totally forgot if the one year was to 6/30/18, 7/31/18 or 8/31/18 for those that signed up then.

Also what's the ideal time to cancel, especially if you're not porting? My billing cycle ends on the 26th. So let's say the free lines end on 7/31/18 for me, would calling and just cancelling the whole account by like 7/22/18 be fine to avoid any extra charges?

This for plan end date.

Usually when you call to cancel it takes effect at end of bill cycle. To cancel immediately you usually need to port out.
I haven't tried cancelling by calling recently so would be good to confirm.

I don't know if I follow you but I know what I would do on Tello. I have plenty of spare sprint phones so I'd just swap out the Tello phone (for free) to clean up any ESN problem. Tello would release your old ESN within the hour and would check free and clear on sites like Swapp or TING.

There is also a new MVNO for those old ringplus phones, $10 unlimited if you like https://slickdeals.net/f/11719739-unlimited-talk-text-and-data-1gb-high-speed-4g-lte-unlimited-2g-for-10-a-month-at-unreal-mobile
Yeah the obvious way to get it off Tello is just swap on another phone in its place on Tello. Then he can get the mvno flag flipped by LiterallyUnlimited and move it onto this plan on Sprint (or anywhere else without needing to flip the flag).

Im having the worst experience trying to port my number from GV to Sprint. I bought the number and set up the pin. Sprint keeps asking me for Acct#, pin, name, service address and last four of my social. This has been since Saturday. Every time I call the porting dept. What am I doing wrong. I already have one line and this will be my second. Any assistance is greatly appreciated

GV is the one that is rejecting the port-out request. Call them and find out which info. you are providing that is incorrect or not matching GV's records.. Sprint has no control or influence over GV's approval process.

I tried to contact them. The help forum moderator from GV said that Sprint only needs the phone number and pin. Has anyone else run into this issue?

So i ported out of sprint and ported back IN THE SAME DAY for a total of around $9 and it worked.

I bought a $3 T-mobile sim on ebay (emailed no physical shipped). I then used that sim to open a $3 pay as you go t-mobile account online. Once on t-mobile i called sprint that same day to open the free one year promotion using a different ssn and activated using sprint sim cards bought at my local sprint store($3 price matched ). $9, a couples hours, and some patience (3+ hours) on the phone. It can be done in one day.

i did this with 5 lines
$9 per line. so my total was around $45 all in all

Maybe try chat instead? According to this post:

https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=116666415&postcount=118
Online chat has worked good for me also when activating. I've only gotten denied on voice calls..

This was in general, not talking about a port from GV though.
I was about to do the deal with a port from GV too, so I guess I'll wait

Did you follow the instructions in the wiki, pay the $3, and set a pin?

Just set another pin and try again by calling 866-437-1818, or, better yet, first try:

which when I used it allowed me to update my port instructions myself until it worked (that was from TMO though..
