Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Yep, I followed the instructions in the wiki. I update the pin and try again. About to check out your link now
Good!

Do not cancel your old Sprint port by the way (which would cause problems), just update the pin on your existing request either yourself on the Sprint site, or by calling 866-437-1818 . Most likely the pin was the problem.

Info today:

Having issues with porting today with T mobile.

T mobile computer doesn't recognize my pin when I called but when I spoke with CS the pin I entered is correct. CS saying T mobile having computer issues today (hopefully it will be resolved in 24-48 hrs). Suspect this is why Sprint can't port the number over today. Anyone else having issues today?

FYI, if you don't have a physical sim card for your T mobile pre paid plan that means you cannot create a login for yourself to access the account. T mobile sends a temporary code/password to your phone (supposedly with the new sim card). CS cannot give you a password to manage your online account (prepaid). Stuck in limbo.

all depends on your IMEI. when you go to the website and type yours in with your current carrier it will tell you if it works. my laptop LTE card was not allowed.

You don't need to log into your TMo account. All you care about is Sprint not seeing your IMEI tied to a Sprint account. Just check your IMEI on the Sprint site and if it says "Eligible" you can call Sprint to set up new service.

I'll try to explain the process again:
1. Call Tmo, tell them you have a sim card, a device, and that you want to set up new service as a prepaid line. Tell them you have/will get a prepaid card once the line is activated.
2. Give them all the info they ask for. Remember the pin you give them. They'll say something along the lines of: "You will receive a text message when you line is activated." We don't care about this. Just say thanks and end the call.
3. Go to the Sprint site and check your IMEI number HERE [sprint.com].
4. When it says eligible, call Sprint using the number in the Wiki.

Info you should keep track of:
1. Old account number and account pin. You need that to port the line into TMo.
2. The TMo pin number and "account" number. The TMo account number is the phone number you ported into TMo with a 1 before the area code. 1(###)###-####.

As I said, the activation text of the TMo line is irrelevant. All you need to do is keep checking the Sprint IMEI checker. I never removed the Sprint sims from the phones as they can be reused. Two of the lines I have are 40 miles away - I never touched those devices. I bought 5 TMo sim numbers but some people have said that some TMo sim numbers can be reused.

I've followed the instruction to the letter as u listed No issues getting T mobile pre paid set up with just SIM number and no physical card. Got my pin.
Sprint approved my porting and I checked IMEI which was eligible for porting. Issue I am running into now is Sprint cannot port the number from T mobile because "information I provided isn't correct". I was on line with Sprint porting team. When I call T mobile now the computer doesn't recognize my PIN. But when I spoke with CS rep they verify my pin is correct. This is where things gets tricky when you don't have a physical sim and cannot log into your T mobile account.

IMPORTANT UPDATE from T mobile Pre Paid account.

Just got off three way calling with Sprint Porting Department and T mobile Pre Paid CS Rep. T mobile has CHANGED ALL NEW PRE PAID ACCOUNT NUMBERS (at least for me who got a new number from T mobile. Maybe it's different for porting in). IT IS NO LONGER 1+your phone number as of today. That was why I wouldn't port my number from T mobile to Sprint.

Hopefully you guys didn't have to deal with this. But maybe this info will help someone.

You got a new TMo number from them? Why did they change your number if you ported it in?

I have two Sprint free lines but I need a NEW line so I started one through T mobile pre paid with a sim number ordered on eBay. I figure I will set up this NEW Account (one year free promo) once ported to Sprint. Then I will port out my two current Sprint free number to T mobile next month and then port it back to the NEW Sprint account which will be very easy because New account already exist.

You can start porting as soon as you get your sim ( no business day required to do this). It takes about 1 hour (could be more). Just be sure to have your Metro PSC account and pin number ready.
Gonna be doing this with Metropcs next week. Wish me luck

Can anyone help me understand why we need to do a credit check with our SSN just to order the sim card?
