Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Is their department that handles this open 24/7?

Thanks a lot.
So from the wiki, I just need a T-mobile ICCID to give T-mobile when I call requesting PAYGO, but say I'll buy refill cards on my own. That about it?
How will I know when I can port from TMO?
I just paid the $3 but sure, why not try other peoples' tips to save even that.

I could not give you every detail. It was a mess with account numbers, numerous calls, waits on hold etc. Basically you have to just wing it through the whole process as it can be messy. I did it twice as I ported out of Free plan to TMO to back into Sprint kickstart. Then I did not like kickstart and ported that out and back into Fee plan via TMO the next day using the same sim which was tricky.

Sprint noticed the round trips but did not care after I said I just wanted to try kickstart.

You can port right back in once you port out, but you better make sure it is all the way over or you can create a real mess. I did not really wait but I checked various ways.

Others probably have comments.

I found TMO porting dept. even worse than Sprint Porting dept. Let us know what you find.

I was thinking of using a GV number next time. I think the carrier GV uses around here in Raleigh would be ok for porting in and out.

7 days yes, but it closes every day sometime after midnight or 1 am ET - I forget the exact hour.

Also the later you go the trickier it gets because porting depts support/inquiry capabilities start closing around I forget 9 or 10 pm ET.

would it be recognized by sprint? since it is not active at that point..
I'm not sure it would matter if active, they may just go by area code and prefix to see if sprint has coverage there. But would be best if active.

I was trying to port in a # from Verizon prepaid acct. It passed the eligibility test. I got the same acct # from 3 different Verizon reps, and it started with A. When I gave all the information to Sprint by calling the port in number, the rep couldn't proceed and he believed that I provided a wrong acct #. Did anyone from Verizon prepaid acct experience similar difficulties?

I had a challenge when porting a landline phone from Charter---they said I had the wrong account number and it turns out that either Sprint or Charter needed to verify the information again. I gave them the same information and it was ok'd in 4 hours and took a few more business days to finally port but that was a landline. Challenge is Sprint does not call you to tell you they needed more information---I called them and found out that way.

Not sure what the account numbers are for prepaid Verizon. Thinking that some of these porting errors are a double check to make sure the information is correct.

Twigby says this
Verizonn Prepaid

Account number- A+[your 10-digit phone number]+00001
It will look something like this: A55555555550001. With your phone number replacing the 5's.
To obtain or verify your account number, you can contact Verizon Prepaid at 1-888-294-6804. You will need to select "0" a few times to speak to a live agent.
PIN number- 4-digit password that you use to access your account from your phone

The acct number I was told had nothing to do with my phone # and didn't end with 00001. I got it from chat and confirmed by calling 611. I'm so confused.

Maybe Verizon prepaid changed to new account numbers instead of Twigby info to prevent fraud. Hopefully someone can chime in.
Edit ting says this which sounds more like you got.
Verizon Prepaid
Account number - Alphanumeric usually starts with an A
PIN number - 4-digit password that you use to access your account from your phone

Does anyone know if it matters which phone number I port first? I'm setting this up for my in-laws. FIL has the phones ready to activate, MIL is waiting for an iPhone to be delivered. FIL might not continue with the plan after 1 year but MIL will. Does activating FIL's phone first make a difference at the end of the year?

When did you purchase the phones? Didn't an employee post on here that Wallymart will only sell them activated going forward?
I just purchased both Moto E5 Play and Moto G6 Play from Walmart today and they didn't activate it (that I know of).

i just activated my pixel 2 xl with Sprint today and my phone is having an issue. I can receive and place call/text but i have no data at all.

did anyone pixel user experience the same? any advice or resolutions out there?

After speaking with the tech and not able to solve anything, they told me they'll call back in 1-2 days..

It shouldn't matter. No matter whose name and SSN are tied to the acct that has nothing to do with the phones/lines/numbers.

So if FIL puts the acct in his name / SSN and ports first then MIL, then FIL leaves after a year, MIL's service will continue just FIL will get billed (which I assume shouldn't really matter).

If they don't want that, then start the acct until MIL's name and SSN and port FIL's phone over then MIL's when it arrives.
