Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Thank you both. How long should I be with Sprint for them to unlock? Can I port two lines from Lyca Mobile and two from Freedompop in the same account?

Thanks
50 days.

Sure you can port from two providers - do it by phone to 866-782-8777. Have the sims already. Check the IMEI's and phones first in the checker.

Any phone that has been on a Sprint mvno such as FP will not qualify right away unless you get FP (in this example) or LiterallyUnlimited to flip it explicitly from mvno to postpaid status in the database (just deactivating the phone is not enough). But the phone numbers alone can usually be ported from FP.

Thanks you for the valuable information. I have the free 200min/200mb/200 text FP plan that I just kept it. I am conflicted as to switch or not to switch to sprint.

I hope those FP phone numbers can be ported easily as you mentioned.

Thanks!!!

FP numbers are actually voip numbers on a local carrier that varies by area.
Usually they port fine but in a few cases they are not portable.

Some older phones may give a lot of issues. Sprint prepaid phones are not eligible at all.

You can also just get "TMobile numbers for port" on Ebay for $3 to $5 and leave your fp lines as they are for now (unless you need to move the phone off).

You can go one phone at a time to start but I would aim to get them all done by the end of the month just in case.

Do you really man iPhone 4S?

In any case, they mean it was sold as a Boost or Virgin prepaid phone originally. Is that true? If so yes it is probably ineligible unless released by Boost or Virgin after the required period of paid time on those services.

Occasionally they let one slip on anyway which is what happened the first time. - you happened to be lucky that time.

Maybe this is not all the case but that's what they are saying I think.

You have no right to swap on ineligible phones - you can just get away with it sometimes when they are sloppy and fail to catch it, that's all. The guy you are dealing with now is evidently a sticker for the rules and blocked it when he saw it was prepaid. He'll probably note your account too. Some of them do not care and let them through.
yes, iP4 (yeah I know but for the kid). Was never a Boost or Virgin phone - bought directly from Sprint and always on their network until the port out recently to Tmo prepaid to do the byod renew.

I dont think they are blocking the swap bc it is an older phone, right? Again, he mentioned prepaid but i never even "activated" on Tmo network, only ported with digitial sim...

I just ported from Sprint to T-mobile (did Pay as you go plan online for $3) and now want to port back to Sprint. When I check the IMEI on the Sprint message, it says:

Ineligible, this phone does not qualify for this offer

Does that mean I need to wait a bit?

I posted that I had a similar experience. Try again using incognito mode in Chrome or whichever browser. It could be your cache or a cookie or something that is causing this (I assume that you have waited a little bit after porting - I think ppl say about 1hr?)

In that case it definitely does not count as Prepaid.
Hopefully they will resolve it then.

Does it show as eligible if you test at
https://www.sprint.com/en/landing...phone.html

(Do not actually activate there though).

I did mine when it was "ineligible" but never checked on incognito. I waited maybe 30 minutes once ported to T-Mobile. I tried to make a call from my phone and it didn't work then I checked online and it said my account was not active. At that point I figured it was safe to try.

Yeah I figured you would get that since that is the same response he is getting.
Let's hope they did not adopt recently a new rule banning new activations of non-LTE phones, or that an exception can be made for you if they did, since it was used recently on the network.

I was thinking this in the back of my mind. I'm supposed to find out soon (24-72hrs???) but will report back. May need to quickly find a cheap Sprint phone - any ideas on sub-$50 phone? Quick search didnt look good. Maybe someone will trade me for my mophie juice pack i probably wont end up using!

After porting my numbers from Verizon, my S8 (bought from Verizon) is giving me this error:

Sprint Wizzard
Sim card is not readable
Contact your service provider.

Second Message
Sprint QMADM
Please contact Sprint to unlock your device

then third message
Phone
Invalid SIM Card

I still can make and receive calls but intermittently. What do I do now?

Ok so since this offer can end any second, I've decided to port my Mint Sim number over

I already have a brand new (old) Sprint Sim card that is said to be the correct one

So, do I just call 866-782-8777 with all my info and numbers, or is there a way to do it online with an existing Sim?

I only ask because calling up doesn't seem to be fool proof vs ordering and activating online

Anything I know in that price range is likely problematic also.

For $80 you can get new Boost Moto G6 Play, which even has Wifi Calling, but it is theoretically not eligible as it is prepaid and many reps will not activate them. You would need to read back through recent days in this thread for the various ways in which many people have nevertheless managed to get them on.
