Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

During my call, I specifically declined the device protection on two phones, but he added it without telling me. As soon as the first bill generated, I chatted to remove it. The first person told me the bill would readjust before the auto-pay. A week later, when there was no change, I chatted again, and the second person told me she would issue a $10 credit and the rest would be credited on the second bill. Another week has gone by, and still no difference in the amount owed. I can see the insurance has been removed, but still no change in the bill that will be charged to my credit card next week. Anyone had success in having a bill adjusted prior to paying?
They normally do not adjust a bill already issued but issue a credit against current service, but if they said they would, then I agree they should. Do you see the credit elsewhere on the account? Try asking yet again.

I'm trying to move a Moto G4 plus from Ting over to my BYOD plan. I have already added 2 phones on the plan without much trouble.

I bought this device unlocked and had it on Ringplus and then Ting before porting to T-Mobile with a virtual sim yesterday. I'm getting "Sorry, but our records show you still owe Sprint for this device" on Sprint's IMEI checker.

I've messaged LiterallyUnlimited and asked for help on Sprint's Community Forums but not sure what else I can do but wait. Obviously I have no service because I don't have a TMobile sim. Any suggestions?

That's the normal (although poorly worded) message you get when the mvno flag needs to be flipped.
Since it was on Ting, you can just call Ting support and ask them to release the phone for use on Sprint Postpaid and they will do it then and there. You do not need to still be with Ting. Ting is one of the very few Sprint MVNO's that will do this routinely on request, including for prior customers.

(LiterallyUnlimited actually is a senior person at Ting but only prior customers should contact Ting directly).

Bought a Boost Mobile Moto G6 Play from Walmart today and successfully ported a line from Verizon to Sprint BYOD. I turned it on to root it first and forgot to take out the SIM card, but they were still able to activate it without any issues.

Yeah I never take out the sim card - that is not really necessary. I am not sure what they are trying to get it by suggesting that. Maybe it helps troubleshoot in some obscure situation.

That's good to know that Boost G6 Play activations are still possible.

I'm currently a sprint customer, I just port my number to T-mobile. Do I need to cancel my Sprint service before calling in about the free 1 yr promo?

I would call, just to verify that it auto-cancelled itself when you ported out your last remaining (or only) line.

How did you guys port to Tmobile without paying for the plan first? I called and they said that I need to pay with a credit or debit card before we can start the porting.

Thank you. I chatted again, and this person said they can see the credit on their end, but it will not reflect until the next bill (as you mentioned). I guess I will end up overpaying this month, then use the credit toward the next three months.

You need to root your phone. Then install the app that block a certain Sprint band. So it won't connect to the crappy Sprint 1x signal.
Sprint doesn't want you to do that because they have to pay for roaming charge.
It goes like this: 1X/2G/3G/LTE.
I am facing similar coverage issue within workspace building. Its always with 1 n/w bar and showing Sprint 1x with no data access.. Can anyone pls share any details on working around this? Using IP7.

You can call support and ask for a free MagicBox booster/repeater if you would be able to put it in or near a window at work.

Except they are out of stock right now waiting for a new model due to be in stock by late July.

Just did the port out port back in thing.

1. Electronic Tmobile sim swap was easy. Just bought it for $3.50 on ebay and ported out number. Didn't load any value on the card.
2. Once I ported out I checked and my phone was eligible to port back in. Used a Twigby sim.
3. Problems then cropped up. Went through activation and things went fine until they tried a hard sell on device activation. Turned them down repeatedly and then I was mysteriously cut off. Called back and asked for help and was cut off again. Called back again and they had some sort of issues and had to wait until the next day to activate. Pain in the butt.
4. But I'm good until July of 2019!

Was it to a different SSN or did they let you use the same SSN again right away in this case?

By the way you actually should not have needed a new sim. I have ported out/in multiple phones multiple times without changing the sims and Sprint's sim approach generally is you never need to touch the sim even changing accounts and even changing providers/mvno's.

Do you have to wait for the SIM card to arrive in the mail, or can you enter a compatible Sprint SIM card number on the activate now screen after the account is created/processed? Is the SIM that is shipped tied to that number?
