Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Just chiming in with my experience. I ported in two numbers from Verizon. The first sim I ended up ordering through Sprint's 1-year promo site. No issues encountered there and the sim arrived next day. The day that sim arrived, I ended up deciding to port my other line over as well. I went to Best Buy and got the Boost Mobile sim kit for $9.99. As for the devices I used, one is a Moto G6 purchased through Project Fi (never activated on Fi) and the other was my Pixel 2 XL. Sprint sent over the correct sim for the G6 and the Boost kit came with the proper sim for the 2 XL (noted in the wiki).

Activating the first line was super easy since the process was started online. Transferring the number from Verizon was done in less than 10 minutes. After that, I started the process for the second line. From what I saw, that can't be done online so I ended up calling their number for the promo. I had to call three times since the first two times the call would just abruptly get cancelled. The rep I got was easy to deal with and he took all the info needed (IMEI, ICCID, acct #/pin, social) to transfer over the second line. After that was done, the line was also active within 10 minutes. Overall, it was a pretty positive experience.

As a side note for the Project Fi Motorola G6: Sprint didn't have any issues activating it since it was never active on Fi. For precaution, I did take out the Fi sim before powering it on.

During my call, I specifically declined the device protection on two phones, but he added it without telling me. As soon as the first bill generated, I chatted to remove it. The first person told me the bill would readjust before the auto-pay. A week later, when there was no change, I chatted again, and the second person told me she would issue a $10 credit and the rest would be credited on the second bill. Another week has gone by, and still no difference in the amount owed. I can see the insurance has been removed, but still no change in the bill that will be charged to my credit card next week. Anyone had success in having a bill adjusted prior to paying?
I removed it myself yesterday. Give it a try, it worked for me. Someone here said that they could not remove it themselves (??)

MySprint -> More -> ChangeServices->YourCurrentServices

Uncheck Total Equipment Protection Plus, this is the $13.00/month item. It throws up a "are you sure? It can cost $986 to replace your phone!" Haha, my byod didn't even cost that when new. Dismiss the scare dialog. But remember to press Continue to commit the change.

Btw, It takes quite awhile to take effect. I thought it failed and repeated all the steps. At the end of the day, it finally reflected on my account. So it could take most of the day.

Either should work. Same card just different mfg, G made by Gemalto, O made by Oberthur.

I read somewhere that character means different sim manufacturer. Same SIM though, apparently.

Yes as noted by others, it is just a manufacturer code O or G and they are interchangeable.

It does take a few hours to take effect but you do get email confirmation so no need to worry.

FYI. Post porting got data and confirmation email. But couldn't get voice calls. Get "Your account is not validated " error message. Had to call. The below may save you some time.

Try this if you get the message
"Blythe B.: Please follow these steps:
1. From the home screen, tap Phone.
2. On the keypad, dial ##873283# and tap the Call button.
3. Tap OK. The handset will search for profile updates and install them.
4. Tap OK.
5. The profile is now updated."

Tried to go as many pages as I could to find the answer but still am not sure - we are on the 1 year free plan under my dads SSN, that is ending next month and I wanted to port those lines out and take advantage of another year under MY SSN (so a new SSN), will that work? I'm essentially porting out of sprint back into sprint just under a different SSN.
