Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Ordering the SIM online seemed easy enough, received the next day, phone wont activate.

Trying to call and deal with their customer support is near impossible. It looks like I am stuck in some paradox where they want to run my credit & price out plans for me. Because I dont have a sprint login yet? and neither of the two order numbers I received from the web works. It only tells them a shipping status, this is insane, I feel like I am stuck in idiocracy
Yep, checked my report with Experian. Sure enough, Sprint pulls an Inquiry when you go through the online order. BE CAREFUL when talking to their sales support, two separate calls have ended in them requesting a 2nd credit pull when trying to activate my new sim

Tried to go as many pages as I could to find the answer but still am not sure - we are on the 1 year free plan under my dads SSN, that is ending next month and I wanted to port those lines out and take advantage of another year under MY SSN (so a new SSN), will that work? I'm essentially porting out of sprint back into sprint just under a different SSN.
Yes that's what everybody is doing and talking about.

However month end is nigh so best do it all before month end if possible (or take your chances that it might end at month end).

For A) existing customers whose 1 year BYOD plan is expiring and want to renew another year of free BYOD OR B) customers on Sprint MVNO's i.e. Tello/Ting/Virgin/Boost, the fastest easiest is to port out to T-mobile using $5 digital T-Mobile SIM card from eBay and port back in to Sprint for another year of free 1YR BYOD.

If you are existing Sprint postpaid customer in the last 45 days, you will need a new SSN (friend/ family). If you are porting from a Sprint MVNO you don't need a new SSN as long as you weren't a Sprint postpaid customer in the last 45 days.

1) First, have your Sprint/ Sprint MVNO account number and PIN ready. Ensure that you have a Sprint eligible phone and compatible Sprint SIM card (Sprint SIM can be reused)

2) Order the $5 digital T-Mobile SIM Card from eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/232903327738. You will purchase 1 unique digital T-mobile SIM for each line you want to port as each digital SIM can be used only/ consumed only once.

3) You don't have to topup/ reload the Tmobile digital SIM. Once receive the digital SIM card number, call Tmobile customer care 1-877-778-2107 to port your sprint number to Tmobile. Just give them your Sprint/ Sprint MVNO acct number, PIN , phone number and T mobile SIM card number. If rep asks for an activation code tell them it is not necessary- only the SIM card number is needed.

4) Your number will be ported to T mobile in less than 5 minutes. Your Tmobile Account number will be your phone number prefixed by 1 Ex: 1 214-xxx-xxxx and the pin number will be the one that you setup initially during the porting or activation process. Note that for each line in Tmobile prepaid, it will be a separate account number i.e. the phone number of each line prefixed by 1 for that line. Again PIN number would be what you have set during number porting/activation for each line.

5) Wait for ~ 20 minutes to verify the completion of the T-mobile port and the cancellation of your Sprint account. Port is complete when your existing Sprint/ Sprint MVNO phone stops working (no calls/ no text/ no internet)

6) Now call back sprint telesales number 1866-782-8777 to sign up for the 1 year BYOD free plan and port back your number from Tmobile with a new SSN if you were an existing Sprint postpaid customer in the last 45 days.

7) After about 45 mins on the phone call, you are good to go for another one year. Verbally confirm that the representative waives the $30 activation fee per line as part of the promotion. In addition, ensure the rep DOES NOT add insurance on your phones to the billing- Sprint reps have been known to be unscrupulous and add insurance without your knowledge. Ask the rep to notate your account that you signed up for the BYOD 1 year $0 promotion for both lines in case the rep misapplied the promotion. In addition, ask the rep for your new Sprint account number and notate this down for future reference.

They only do 1 hard credit pull When you sign up for the First line. Not sure why they wanted to pull your credit the second time?

I am ready to port my google voice number. When asked what carrier I am porting from, would I have any problem if I tell sprint is a google voice number?

I am in some blackhole where I have received the SIM, but they dont have record of my account from my social / I don't have a login / my order numbers don't pull anything up. Trying to troubleshoot defaults their script to sales like a new customer Frown

The account number enclosed with the SIM gets phone rep asking for a PIN or "my pets name"... I dont remember setting up a PIN yet? (gave them what PIN I would have made if asked) and I dont have a pet

Sprint refuse to fix their broken system. They pass the problems on customers. Now you have 2 hard pulls because of their incompetent.

Does the promotion end at the end of June or July? From the Wiki, it looks like July. Can anyone confirm?

No nobody can confirm. The renewal for another month is never officially announced (and probably not even decided) until the new month starts. There have been false "confirmations" that it was ending in the past.

The end of savings date for new signups is still July 31 2019 so far.

that is a problem with the wiki.
people can edit it as they see fit..and some time/many times they will add delete correct information and substitute with incorrect information

correct information:
Promo Status: Limited Time offer . it can end any time

why was it updated?

Goes to a voicemail, used the Tmo virtual SIM for all 5. Phone that was transferred doesn't ring.
