Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

For anyone that was signed up for the protection plan without their knowledge/approval, did they ever ask for any proof the phone was in good working order?

Say you happened to have a phone with a broken screen, and ... well.. I'm sure you can see what I'm thinking here...

The plan is so lousy it probably still does not make sense considering deductibles etc. That's what most reviews of carrier device protection plans say.

Steps:
-Search amazon/bestbuy for unlocked moto e4, moto g5. These are crappy overpriced phones but it will work on Sprint.
-When you get the phone, Go to Sprint store or Sprint website, buy the SIM card for the phone.
-Call the number 866-782-8777 to sign up.
If you have more questions, I accept Bitcoin donations.
Thanks for the info.

A Sprint version HTC Arrive has some potential. Try its MEID on the checker.
However
(1) If it was ever on a mvno it will probably be rejected initially due to MVNO flag.
(2) If it is a Sprint prepaid model it will be rejected
(3) The checker is rejecting most very old phones like that and most reps are too so you have to be persistent.

You have to have an eligible phone.

Read back on this thread on Boost Moto G6 Play - $80 at Walmart. Theoretically Boost phones are not eligible but most people are getting them on via trying several times etc. Read the Wiki for other ideas.
Thanks for the info. The Arrive was not on any mvno or prepaid plans. I used it when I was on the SERO plan many moons ago.

I'm trying to get my Sprint LG G5 on there right now. I was previously on Tello, but I swapped it out of Tello.
Problem is that the phone Service state says 'In service' and I think that might be causing problems. When I use the Sprint online BYOD check, it says
"We can't activate this phone online.
Sorry, please bring your phone to a Sprint Store so we can help." on the BYOD checker
and "Ineligible, this phone does not qualify for this offer" on the 1year BYOD checker
Was your phone able to pass the Sprint online BYOD?
Yes. likely your issue is you used it on Tello and there's a flag that gets set when it's on a mvno that can be reset as someone mentioned.

Someone said the LG G5 itself won't work as a first device but it did for me. It had never been used on an mvno like Tello though.

Ported out from Sprint to T-Mobile virtual sim on all 5 lines this morning. They are no longer showing on old account. Trying to get a new account created and getting the run around, no one seems to be able to do it. WTF is going on?

Here is my story and it may help someone who is in the same boat;

I had 2 Lyca mobile and a google voice. My phones are 3 brand new Boost Moto G6 Play.

Pre-requisite;

1. Called the Lyca CR and asked for the Account ID and Pin. They sent me a text asking the reason for the ID and Pin. I told them I want to go with another carrier.

2. Unlocked the google porting service paying $3.00. The Account number is google phone number and the last 4 digit of the phone number is the Pin as default.

I called up the Sprint customer service number and told them to port 2 lyca mobile and google voice. The CR asked for the IMEI number and in my case it was the Hex Id and also the ICCID. Both are found on the box. Also gave them the account Id and Pin for 3 numbers.

After a few minutes of waiting, credit check and a supervisor approval, the phones are successfully ported to Sprint for a free year service.

I had a hick up of the google phone number is not being identified by the Sprint Id downloader but called the CR and she authorized it. After 6 minutes and a reboot, everything was fine.

The CR never asked me anything about insurance or other services. I used the same sim card that came with it.

Hope this helps.

But question,

Will there be any charges or activation in the part of boost since I am using the boost sim?

It can work then except the reps seem to have sales guidelines not to accept non-LTE phones particularly for the first phone. Sometimes they take them and sometimes they don't.

Best just try it. You can try the IMEI checker for this plan. It will probably fail it.

Then when it fails that, try this other checker for paid BYOD plans which will probably pass it:

https://www.sprint.com/en/landing...phone.html

If it does, then you can probably get it on with persistence.

If you are looking for an easy acceptance though, that is not likely with this phone.

Or just call and give them the phone's info.

No there is no such thing as a Boost sim really. Boost uses Sprint sims that are undifferentiated from any other Sprint sims. The same is true of all Sprint mvno's. It is not like GSM world.

ported out my galaxy s8 (verizon phone) this morning, and spent 2 hours on troubleshooting over the phone. But still didn't get the phone fully activated. Anyone knows why? any solution/suggestion for that?

Update profile.in settings should do it.

Do you get the Sprint logo graphic when booting?
