I'm seeing that you can't browse the internet and talk at the same time? That's dumb.

Unless you have Wifi of course.

Some phones do support it such as S8/S9, Note etc.

More will later this year when VoLTE is released.

A few iPhones are seeing VoLTE but not many yet.

Thank you. Could you please turn on mobile data on your phone and try 3. CDMA again and see if you get 3G data working?

Does the Boost Mobile Moto G6 Play show up as Boost Mobile Moto G6 Play or as unknown device on your Sprint account?
I tried the CDMA options on my another phone and the mobile data works. I chose the CDMA and restarted it and the mobile data is working fine. It doesnt say anything on the top except sprint with one bar less. I would have to try on the other phones as well.

On the account, under device list, a title says "Unltd - Bring Your Phone" view plan details with a hyper link.

Under it, three topics like the phone number, NickName and Caller Id. Under each of them has phone number, name and Wireless caller respectively. And also under it, view upgrade eligibility, change services and more options respectively.

So there is no identification of the phone.

Hope this helps.

Thank you and repped. Could you please verify if PDANet Plus still work in USB mode for USB tethering?

To use PDANet Plus as wifi hotspot or USB tethering, you have to install PDANet Plus on the PC also, correct?
For USB Tethering to a PC, it works fine. I use it all day long with various phones. I am using it now. I have not tried it with a Moto G6 Play but it is going to work.

PDANet Hotspot does not work any more, just USB Tether. They do have Wifi Direct support but I found it too awkward.

Yes you have to install the driver on the PC. It is free.

I tested the network;'

It has 4 options-

1. AUTO - Everything works. Shows LTE on top.

2. LTE/CDMA - Call and text work and No DATA. A message shows on top saying "Mobile Data is off",Shows full bars.

3. CDMA - Call and text work and No DATA. A message shows on top saying "Mobile Data is off",Shows full bars.

4. GSM/UMTS - No network at all.

Hope this helps

PS: Is the offer still on?

It's not dumb- it's a technological limitation. It's the CDMA technology that both Verizon and Sprint uses. When voLTE is fully rolled out this won't be an issue

It is a very plausible date seeing as 7/31/19 has been the end of savings date for a couple of months but I am not sure we can say that is a sure thing.

Once we get a written confirmation from Sprint then it may indeed confirm 7/31.

But if you work for Sprint (as I think has been suggested) then thanks that is good to know that that is the current listed expiry date.

Even Sprint has no clue when this is ending so how do you want anyone else know the last day for this deal !!!
The only think we know for sure right now until update: "Savings until 7/31/19"

My phone was with freedompop before but not anymore. Contacted Freedompop to release the device and they did on 6/30 but I still get this message "Sorry, but our records show you still owe Sprint for this device. Sign in to find this device on your account."

what can I do?...

That's why I asked him the basis of his post.

We have had access to more than just what you mention.

Last month Sprint sent out confirmations that stated in writing "Offer expires June 30" and we may see something similar this month. In fact I expect we will. So I am just looking for that. I suspect he has access to that or something similar but if not someone else will get it and post it.

Ask FP to release it specifically for use on Sprint Postpaid. By default they release it just for use on another MVNO. These are two different flag settings.

Or search LiterallyUnlimited in this thread and he can flip the flag for you.

Thanks!

They said "when they release the device, it will be compatible with sprint and sprint mvnos." Does this mean sprint postpaid is also included?

I did contact LiterallyUnlimited before reaching out to FP...haven't heard from him..
