Thanks!

They said "when they release the device, it will be compatible with sprint and sprint mvnos." Does this mean sprint postpaid is also included?

I did contact LiterallyUnlimited before reaching out to FP...haven't heard from him..
(1) It should but they did not do it right then in this case or their process glitched.(e,g Boost .. Let them know *specifically* that you still were not able to use it on Sprint postpaid and they will correct it.

(2) How did you contact him? You need to join reddit and contact him there. He is not active here any more.

You are not giving all the details that would allow people to help efficiently.

What model phone is it?

If it is a Boost or Sprint Prepaid phone it cannot be activated period.

Thanks again!

I just email FP again and ask them to check again...

I did contact him thru reddit...

Anything else I could do ? Do I need to update profile or sth on the device?

No actions on the phone would not help. It is rejecting the phone without any contact with it, based on the records.

Hopefully you will hear from both of them.

What model phone is it?

If it is a Boost or Sprint Prepaid phone it cannot be activated period unless FP resold under their name.

That phone was sold as both a Sprint Prepaid phone and as a Boost and Sprint Prepaid phone.

Most likely you have a Boost or Sprint Prepaid one and that is the source of the problem.

The vast majority of Sprint low-end phones that can be found for resale are Prepaid versions and cannot be activated on Sprint Postpaid. It is not even worth looking at them in general, odds are so high against you. I have a number of them and so do many people here who go back to RingPlus etc.

Bad news for me... need to get a new phone then... too bad...
There might be a chance that if you go to a Sprint corporate-owned store with a repair center they *might* free it up for you if you have the time for that.

Or occasionally a Sprint rep online might do it.

Both are in the long-shot category though.

So I was trying to add an old cell phone that didn't qualify to one of the lines and even when a manager attempted to override it to work on the free plan it didn't work. I was told to get a newer eligible model. I think I read on here that if I activate a line with an eligible device that I can then switch to an older model that is not on the list for the free plan? I am thinking maybe I should just switch line 2 with the old cell phone and then use the newer eligible phone from line 2 to activate line 3? Could that work or are old cell phones not allowed at all?

It depends what the issue is.

If it is a prepaid Sprint phone it will usually not go on at all.

If it is incompatible (lacking CDMA bands for example) it will definitely not go on.

But if it is compatible and not Sprint prepaid but just old, for example an old non-LTE Sprint postpaid model say, then yes an IMEI swap on should work. It does not hurt to try because the IMEI swap will either work or not. Do not do it through TeleSales though.

I activated 3 Boost Moto G6 Play. As mentioned here, dont open the box. All the informations Sprint need is on the box itself. First give the HEXId that starts with 9900 and then the ICCId. When they input the HEX ID, it recognize as Moto G6 Play and they will tell you so. They will assign each HexID and ICCCID with the porting number.
Sprint validated the Boost Moto G6 Play. Never asked for the ICCCID#. Have to call them back in the morning since the credit dept was closed for the evening. The rep did ask if I had a SIM card. I told him yes, one came with the phone. Hopefully, everything will go as smooth tomorrow. Thanks to all who answered my questions. hug

What is this IMEI swap? I have an old Sprint phone, HTC Arrive. Think I mentioned this earlier, was never on a prepaid plan or another MVNO. I was on the Sprint SERO plan, left it 2.5 yrs. ago. Do you think that would be accepted on this plan? It doesn't have an IMEI but IMED(?) or something like that.

Need help. I have been with Sprint for over 14 years. Okay service where I live. How can I take advantage of this promotion to avoid paying Sprint $200 a month for a year?

From reading the thread, I need to port out to Tmobile by paying $3.25 to get a virtual VPN. Is that correct? I then need to signup with a different social security number to qualify for the 1 year promotion. Is that correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, will my current Sprint phones work, to include current SIM cards?

MEID is fine. Yes it should go on. You may have to try a couple of times or argue since it is pre-LTE. I doubt you will need IMEI swap which is a long story involving swapping of phones to bypass restrictions or just to replace a phone.

Do you want a phone that obsolete on though? I would not but it is up to you.

You've got it all right.

By Virtual VPN you mean Virtual Sim.

The phones and sim cards do not need to be changed.
