Can someone clarify if you can re-use the same BYOD SIM card (and phone) when renewing the 1 year promo? If that's the case, do you just skip the process online and just call the Telesales number directly to help you activate service?
Yes you can as has been said 1000 times.
Always call, as is noted in the wiki.
I assume you realize you need a new SSN. and have to port out and in. You cannot simply renew.

Well it hasn't gone as smoothly as I was hoping. Now the person I'm helping getting on this plan has to call TracFone to release his number. He asked if they could just give him a new number but they said no.

LiterallyUnlimited cannot and will not touch Boost phones. He says that very clearly in his guides and posts.

You will have to get Boost to release your phone. Nobody else can.

I am getting conflicting advice because I call sprint and their customer service tell me I can sign up for a pay plan with my boost phone (its cdma and the unlock is for a gsm carrier). When I ask on here I'm told since the phone is not unlocked I can't be under sprint.

Customer service has nothing to do with signing up for this plan.
Call 866-782-8777 if you want to check for this plan and let us know what they say.
If you can get someone to re-sku the phone off Boost, more power to you, but it is not going to be LiterallyUnlimited.

This coming from the guy that keeps crying every month with the false alarm that the promo is ending. And guess what, the promo has been going strong and will do so until 7/31 unless Sprint marketing renews. Then again I already know you reply so keep doing the boy cry wolf story

Tello is a Sprint mvno so you are considered to be active with sprint and don't qualify for this deal.
Your phone number will not qualify, you need to port to a non-sprint carrier to have it qualify for this deal.
Your phone will not qualify as it is considered active on sprint. You need to make it inactive by porting out of tello, cancelling account or replacing it with another device. Also Sprint flags phones used on sprint mvno's or pre-paid(PLBL). This flag on the phone needs to be changed to SPCS before being able to qualify for this deal. Literallyunlimited on reddit can change this for you but phone needs to be inactive first.

ok I read this but am lost with reddit. I am with boost mobile and purchased a iphone 7 with them. the phone is paid off I have a t mobile sim card and can do the t mobile prepaid route to get out of boost. But obviously the phone wont work so I'm guessing I will tell t mobile I ordered a phone and will add it at a later time because I cannot get boost to unlock this phone unless I am with them for one year.

So moving forward this phone will work with sprint but when I go to the reddit website for literallyunlimited I'm lost. Do I DM this person? I am sorry I'm just lost with this reddit site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
First port from Tello to the$3.25 TMobile virtual sim from eBay in wiki. This takes 10 minutes. Then Call Ting customer service to change the flag to SPCS- most of their phone reps are nice and will do this even if you went a customer- 5 minutes. Don't say anything about boost or Tello. Then port back from T-Mobile virtual sim back to Sprint with new SSN- 30 minutes

The Boost flag is a separate flag and is not affected by the mvno flag. Ting will not touch it.

For boost Androids this is true. I'm not sure about iPhones as I was able to activate a boost iPhone on Virgin and also on mothership Sprint but required a resku. Best way is to run the boost iPhone esn thru the Sprint activation checker online or on a call with a rep

Ting can still change flag to spcs

That is true but it will not solve the problem because the Boost sku will override.

By the way Ting and LiterallyUnlimited are more of less the same thing because LiterallyUnlimited is in charge of Sprint Engineering at Ting. He used to work at Sprint.

Really this poster needs a re-sku. Some stores will do it but it seems to me it is a long shot for someone only looking to get on the free plan. I do not want to give false hope to people.

Just get a new number from Google Voice or Tmo. Not a zero cost way, but it works.

I finally was able to take advantage of this last week and glad I did, saving $50 a month helps a ton.Sprint service is terrible here in Austin though, I regularly get 1X instead of anything resembling good service but oh well.

Did you call 866-782-8777? For those of you called and successfully activated, can you come up with a script. Maybe it should go on Wiki.
It turned out that the first person I spoke with entered in the wrong info for the account that I am porting from, and each person after that was too lazy to actually double check that the information was correct.

Things are good now.
