Fastest and cheapest way to cancel service before 1 year end?
Port out is the fastest way! One and done with no contact with Sprint needed.

Cheapest would be to cancel outright with Account Services (ask for Cancellations), assuming you do not need to keep your number. They require that you discuss it on the phone this way. Chat is not allowed to cancel service.

Right now the only published expiration date of the promo is 7/31/18. Depending on the powers that be, it may or may not be extended past 7/31
Where is 7/31/18 published as an expiration date? I realize it probably is the planned end date for this month, but did you mean to say "published?"

As previously mentioned, Sprint is a total scam / fraud joke and will sign you up under a different plan once you port your # in, then magically they will not be able to "find" the 1 year unlimited free plan in their system so you will be on hold for 4 hours combined until you just cancel it out and go a separate direction. Total scam
I went into Sprint to get a Sim, I remembered why I hated Sprint. They wouldn't help me unless I bought a phone, and told me to go-to Best buy to get a Sim. I previously tried to get in on a SD deal for free service, they sent me a bill for a year for a few dollars a month. I guess I didn't read the fine print. But never again.

Change yes, upgrade no. ("Upgrade", has a special meaning to Sprint, which is a Sprint customer specially-priced phone offer).

But you can buy a phone outright on your own and IMEI swap it on yourself with tech. support anytime on
BYOD basis, as you did originally, no problem, with no restrictions. Just make sure it is not part of a Sprint-sponsored offer that requires giving your Sprint account or number to the dealer.

No it will not work as Sprint validates by device IMEI, not just by the sim ICCID .

This question has been asked everyday for last 2 months. Check wiki, or thread I'm going back to reading how the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.

Say what you want. You obviously don't have any idea how large corporations run. Last year there was a special internal memo on end date as this was a trial program. Higher-ups decided to renew this indefinitely until they change their mind was when I kept telling people up ignore your nonsensical wolf crying and incessant editing of the wiki that this could end any second. Everyday this promo is still around proves you wrong mr bangla
your posts are getting quite comical

u seem determined to make your self look foolish..so i will help...

You obviously don't have any idea how large corporations run. Last year there was a special internal memo on end date as this was a trial program. Higher-ups decided to renew this indefinitely until they change their mind

its is the exact opposite ...it is u that posted many end dates...not me
...it is u that is clueless on how C run (see above comment) not me....(even though i do not claim to be a S C employee)

it is u that has been posting end dates and u continue to do so (see comments below) not me...
i am unclear on howi am crying wolf ( i am unsure u even know what that means)
i made my position clear..u may have not read it or understand it...
let me tell u again..

my position is, was and always will be this:
limited time promotion, can end any time

period. done. forget about when the promotion is good through..7/31..
.and internal memos and " higher ups" changing their mind..

friend, if u a "lower up" (my guess is if u really work at Sprint, u must be no higher than a "chaprasi" [for my "bangla" friends ] ) and have no information (which u dont) ..do not go posting nonsense on forums...and make ur self look silly..stop it..

Can i ask what your reasoning is for removing, once again, this link from the wiki: https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=115278203&postcount=18122 What lordrylen said in his comments happened to me. I was given a bad sim number and had to contact the seller to get another.

It does contain a valuable t-mobile link. It would be great if you could somehow include it again, even if it's inside your link. We will wait for your answer before revising.
Quote from ultrasoul :
Wiki was being cleaned up as both links were repetitive. I've added your second link back regardless

Lies.
ultrasoul removed the original posts that outlined the TM method by lordrylen & (forgot the other poster) ....and then added his own post of the SAME EXACT METHOD

perhaps to gain responses like this:

Thanks for detailed instructions! So if I started my byod last year in September, should I wait until then or go ahead with the renewal process right now and it will still do it until Sept 2019?

oh really..wow...what great breaking news...so u telling me the plan promotion expires on 7/31/19..and ..and depending on what S "higher ups" think ,,it can be extended..

wow..REALLYYYYY?

thanks mr sprint corporate employee..u quite helpful..

You are implying folks have limited comprehension capabilities if the verbiage isn't spelled out in large red font? You my friend are indeed comical. This is my last post addressing your foolishness. If you don't believe how things are run at Overland Park then be my guest and indulge yourself in your own machinations. Either way we are getting the subs we need thanks to this promo.
