Looked through the thread and a little lost. I have an eligible phone but it doesn't have any sim or plan. What is my cheapest option to get this started on free sprint? Thanks!!

1. Click on deal link.
2. Follow steps on screen (get credit pulled).
3. Order their expensive rip off sim card for $12. Doing this ensures you your account will have no issues getting on the free year promo. Get sim card next day, go to activation page and follow steps
5. You're all set

You can also go to a store and buy the correct the sim card for your phone then call sprint, but you're running the risk of them screwing up and putting you on a paid post-paid plan. Better off doing everything online via link and not have to call Sprint.

Edit: Sorry forgot you had no current cell number to port over. You must have an active number that's never been on a sprint or sprint mvno plan to port over. You could of bought the Mint Sim one week trail pack for one cent during amazon primt day. It's $5 now.

You haven't looked very hard. You might want to read back a page or two for tips on sim cards and numbers for porting.

Oops. Post went too quickly.
I saw in wiki about getting a TMO e-sim. I'm going to sound stupid but I'll get a phone number with that after I activate it right?

I'll check post backwards too.

Eta: so, looks like GV $3 portable number is better option. I should also order a sim card through twigby for another $3 making it cheaper then the $10 sprint sim. Oh man,I'm great with coupon shopping and fixing electronics but somehow figuring this one out correctly is a challenge for me. I promise I'm not looking for spoon feeding without my own work. Having one of those dead brain days.

TIA

no you won't, but on the previous page, read comintel and desibabu2010's posts.

Edit:No worries. Take your time. It'll all make sense. Actually, with your own sim, you must call in. Be sure to start by saying you want the 1 year free plan and verify again at the end of the call. If they say unlimited freedom, that is the wrong plan.

Thanks.when I say my brain is dead.. I seriously didn't notice your post until now. We'll I'm also doing this on my phone since we just moved and don't have internet. I should go to the library or the mall with my laptop lol. I shop with qs ...I'm thrifty so $12 is a no go LMAO
And fark! at missing 1c mint sim prime day deal.
Looks like GV for # and twigby for sim and I'm good to go for about $6,no?

NP. I edited again so please check it. And check the entire wiki. There's a lot of info to consume, but in the end, you'll say, wow, that was easy.

u have been given good information by hodaddy already.

i will add:

what phone do u have?
if iphone u can probably get a free sim from apple store

if not iphone, find exact sim your pone will neeed
it is possible that there is a iphone with same sim, in which case , again u can get free sim from apple store

S Sim are not like other gsm sim. they can be re used.
but u will need to pay attention to make sure u have correct sim for your phone

IMHO, GV is best route to get a number to port.
be sure to get a phone number form major city that has good Sprint coverage
or u will get rare message "phone number not portable"

I brought and added a boost moto g6 play last week. No issue at all. I am sure it is still good. I unlocked my google voice number and got it ported over fine.

Has anyone who signed up again in the last week under the new terms been able to test the speed?

Have they really gone down to 480 streaming? And has the data download speeds been reduced?

Reps usually /always say it will end at the end of the current month just because that is always formally listed as current nominal expiry date but means nothing.

Management just holds its cards close to its chest and does not want to give away too much too far ahead, but has to have some expiry date pencilled in, so it just puts a neutral month-end every single month for over a year now.

In fact they just ended a phase on the 13th of this month (and started a new changed variant) despite its having been listed right up that moment as good to month end.

So basically it means nothing.
