easy..port out just the 1 line...
Thanks. Is porting the only option? I just want to terminate line that I do not need any more. Don't care to preserve the number and ideally would not like to have to deal with another carrier/mvno signup just to port.

Was quite excited to receive a response from d-babu himself, king of this thread! Smilie

if u dont care of number..port to h20 1 penny sim from amazon
Good to know. I need to get rid some of my kick-start lines. Paying over $20 with tax/fees each. Not worth it.

Port it out. The less interaction with Sprint reps the better.

for port puposes.

.typically..names on either account dont matter ..as long as u have acct number, phone number, correct port pin
How do I find out the 'port pin'?

Is it the sprint 6-digit code they ask every time I call?

Where does it say how long the sign up will last??? They can offer savings until 9/30/19 for those that sign up but sign up could end tomorrow or whenever they pull the webpage down or change it to "This program is no longer avail" Thank You to those that signed up and hope you enjoy your savings.

I'm hoping it lasts another year as this is my first year with it. I watched it last year a little and knew Sprint was going to be a challenge for me---and it has been. Terrible service in my house but ok out on the road---Where do I spend most of my time---in my house.

That does not mean they will *necessarily* end signups on 9/30/2018.

It does suggest/hint fairly strongly that people will have at least until that date, I agree, but I do not know if it is definite enough for it to be helpful to put it in the wiki.

For one thing, the current formal internal end date for signups is currently still 7/31/2018, according to some (including a Sprint insider who posts). They COULD fail to extend that this time or any time.

As one example, they just made some major changes to the plan on 7/13 without paying any heed to the previously inferred 7/31 date or giving any notice whatsoever. If they could do that once, they could do it again, only in a much more major way if they wanted.

Really, for many many months, they have been following the pattern:

(1) Every 2 months (occasionally 3 months at a time instead), extend the end of savings date by 2 months
(2) Every single month, independently of (1), extend the signup end date internally by 1 month at a time, but often not publish anything at all except sometimes in emailed offers to individuals who inquire or sign up.

It's hard to say that that pattern will break soon, though surely it will SOME day.
