I just called and was able to get 1 Boost Moto G6 Play unlocked. It's been on service since May 21st. It was simple and they asked if it was for international or domestic lock and I didn't know what to say so I just said do it all so it's all done and he said ok and he explained the difference--not sure that I understand the difference but he said it should be unlocked in 72 hours.

While I was on the phone I asked him to unlock the 2nd Boost Moto G6 Play that was activated JUNE 17th and he did that at the same time.

We will see if it goes through but will be sweet to have 2 unlocked phones and be done with this process. I'll update this when I get it verified---how can you tell on the phone if it's unlocked?
Anyone getting their phones unlocked? Haven't heard from them and the request was done several days ago. Actually on Jul. 18, 2018 at 3:16pm They said it could take up to 72 hours. Well that has come and gone.

If you value your time, do NOT port a 5 line family plan to this promotion. Be prepared for numerous dropped calls, high pressured total equipment protection plus sales pitches, and botched port in requests where only two of the five lines get ported in, then your stuck in two factor authentication purgatory because the two lines that were ported in are not present at your location, so you cannot receive two factor authentication codes.
I guess it all depends on your area and who in customer service helps you. We ported four lines with only one hitch and that was because I accidentally reversed two numbers on the SIM. We were asked about the protection plan, but there was no pressure after declining. We get cell service eveyywhere we need it and data speeds are great.

I forgot to setup a PIN with T-Mobile. Now I am stuck with Sprint trying to complete the process. I called Tmobile and they want me to go to a store to show ID to setup a PIN.

There's got to be an easier way....!

I need my Tmobile PIN and Account number :-(

Do you have the SIM with you or was it Digital SIM? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-5448

To reset your PIN

Call 611 from your T-Mobile phone.
When prompted, say "Reset pin."
Follow the automated system steps to reset your PIN.

Or just buy number for port out from eBay for 5$ - https://www.ebay.com/itm/Prepaid-...2515225200

How easy would you want it to be for somebody who did not have ownership credentials and refused to go to a store to be able to take over your number?

There are current scams where criminals are porting away people's numbers in order to be able to satisfy two-factor authentication sms's to steal their bank accounts.

The porting went fine to Tmobile
I never got a Tmo PIN nor account number
now I cannot port back to sprint because sprint needs my tmobile PIN and account number

What do I do now?

3 BYOD plan changes to note from the Filipino call center today.
our plan ends 7/31.
Got 5 free T-mo SIM cards from Apple Store.
Ported out to T-Mo pay-go,
Ported back into a new account using cousin's SS#.
Same phones
Same phone numbers
Same SIM cards
Same street address
Same CC# for auto-pay.
all ports went silky smooth in less than an hour.
1) when I requested no device protection needed she replied, your Nexus 6p's do NOT qualify for the device protection plan.
2) She voluntarily pointed out there is NO included 10gb hotspot/tethering offered
3) or international texting starting today.
Confirmed the above with the new MySprint account with savings 'till 9-30-19.

I guess it needs to be put in the Wiki to be sure to get a PIN when porting to the T-Mobile virtual SIM.

its there..people just dont bother to read...

see..here...read it again below:

How can you get a 2nd year free? Port out of sprint to a digital Tmobile sim from eBay for $3.25. Then port back into sprint using a different SS number (a spouse, friend, relative, etc). See below:

https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=115267347&postcount=14
https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=115278203&postcount=18122

....and a few follow up comments ....
- Account #1+sprint number you ported in (or assigned new Tmobile number if not porting in).
- Pin setup during call with tmobile to activate card.
- As soon as the imei number on the sprint site showed it was eligible, I called Sprint to add the line to the new account. As edog11 said, you add a 1 to your phone number as the t-mobile account number. The thought or porting and reporting is overwhelming, but it's worth it in my opinion. I moved 5 lines.
- The digital delivery method eased my concern. It's only "digital" because you get the ICCID (sim id) via message (from ebay seller). You don't need to physically put the sim in your phone to port your number.

*T-Mobile SIM Card *DIGITAL* ICCIDs numbers UN-Activated No Physical Sim shipped
Seller information=enalo (1058 )
current id = 173416627969
US $3.2

OK. I can see that it's there, but it's worded a little strangely and might be ignored. Maybe that line should be something like, "While on the phone with the T-Mobile representative, be sure to create and write down a six digit PIN for your T-Mobile account. You will need this information during the porting process to Sprint." That seems more clear and concise.

When I ported a total of four lines (at different times) to Sprint using the T-Mobile virtual SIM method, each representative I talked to had me choose a PIN. I never had to request it.
