Actually I noticed that they restocked the E4 so I just bought one as well for 31.99. I may give that to son 2 as son 1 also has a Moto E4 and then I don't have to deal with the cries of inequity. But if I can't activate the e4 then I will do g6 and in either case I want to compare the real size of both phones. I might decide to just do the g6 at the end of the day. Otherwise I assume I can flip the g6 if I pass my VERY SHORT Boost Mobile return window (7 days from PURCHASE WTF)
It is very unlikely you can activate a Boost E4 but if it does go through let us know.

Thanks. Completely missed that post. No BBY or ubreakifix near by. Phone is still under warranty. Can I simply flash by myself using ODIN? from Att website I found that the latest update needs previous build number to be installed. Does it same apply when I flash using ODIN or I can directly flash from the build number from last September to current one?
I do not think that you would need any prereq when you flash it but get someone else to confirm.
But if it is under warranty, why not get it fixed or replaced. Something is fishy with the phone that it will not upgrade. Maybe it would not take flash either.

Sprint store with repair center (or Cricket or AT&T store) might do it for you too.

If someone wouldn't mind confirming this for me. I am looking to get my 11 year old son a phone. I am looking to do this plan. I can get an iPhone 5C(sprint). I see that it is not on the list, but VZW is? Can someone out there confirm that this is the case? FWIW, I do have a Sprint sim card.
Thanks!
Sprint phones are not listed but will activate, yes.

You might have to try a couple of times or a couple of ways, that's all.

It will lack band 41 though and so not have good speeds.

Hello
I have a Sprint LG Optimus G
Does anybody know if that phone can be used with this promotion.
The only catch with that phone is that it does not have a sim slot.

Thanks
It will probably be rejected at first for two different reasons:
(1) ownership flag from MVNO use if any - search LiterallyUnlimited for fix
(2) ancient phone but rep can override that with discretion

No worries. My is the VZW S8+, but hers is the unlocked S9+ straight from Samsung, so I think we should both work since the unlocked version should be whitelisted. Mine should get the Sprint stuff just with a SIM swap, but hers would need flashed to get it, correct?
Correct unbranded S9 works too and you could flash but you do not even have to do that as there are workarounds to uncover the missing Sprint stuff on the unbranded S9.

If you don't care about porting your number, you can just buy a T-mobile number from eBay right? Like this one [ebay.com]

I read the wiki but all it mentions about is a T-mobile SIM to port your existing number. I don't care about that since my Google Voice number is all I need; I can redirect any random number to it.

I'm new to this so I don't want to hit any snags.

Has anyone had any luck lately picking up a Sprint SIM in store? Specifically for a boost G6 play?
I bought one for $3 a few days ago, but for an iPhone.

No Boost phones can be added on Sprint Postpaid. They are subsidized in cost in exchange for a one year commitment to use on Boost at standard Boost rates, with no special promotion rates.

The Boost Moto G6 Play is a rare exception that is going through in practise but they would say NO if you asked. So best not ask! Do not mention Boost. Say it is a Motorola Phone that you bought at Walmart if they ask. That has happened once or twice before for a specific model only. (I happen to notice Moto G6 Play is even on the eligible list and I do not think there is a non-Boost version!). So best not try to rationalize it - just DO IT!

Yes of course. I wasn't going to ask them. I was just going to tell them I am activating the following Sprint phone....

there are a bunch of people reporting that the E5 was working too and I thought maybe E4 although I don't want to take the time to reread
