Read through wiki and couldn't find an answer: For those of us with the promo ending soon, is the promo end date what it says when we login to Sprint or the last day of the billing cycle? For ex., my account says promo end date 7/31/18 but my billing cycle doesn't end until 8/20/18. One Sprint Rep said there was no prorating so I would still get BYOD free until 8/20/18. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

i am not sure many wil have the answer to such unique situations...

my guess...u will be on frree plan from 7/20 to 7/31...then at current rate ($60?) from 8/1 to 8/20

i would port out now..and port back in

dont sweat the ~10-15 days at the risk of another year

If someone wouldn't mind confirming this for me. I am looking to get my 11 year old son a phone. I am looking to do this plan. I can get an iPhone 5C(sprint). I see that it is not on the list, but VZW is? Can someone out there confirm that this is the case? FWIW, I do have a Sprint sim card.
Thanks!
go to online tool to "get started"

put in imei number of phone and a phone number of someone u know is not on sprint

see what the results are

that is a start to weather or not a phone is compatible

Has anyone had any luck lately picking up a Sprint SIM in store? Specifically for a boost G6 play?

I just bought the Boost Moto G6 Play as it is a larger new phone with Oreo. And everyone seems to be getting it activated. I guess if you are stuck on Apple then you can do that. I wanted to get my kids on Android rather than Apple
Actually I noticed that they restocked the E4 so I just bought one as well for 31.99. I may give that to son 2 as son 1 also has a Moto E4 and then I don't have to deal with the cries of inequity. But if I can't activate the e4 then I will do g6 and in either case I want to compare the real size of both phones. I might decide to just do the g6 at the end of the day. Otherwise I assume I can flip the g6 if I pass my VERY SHORT Boost Mobile return window (7 days from PURCHASE WTF)

Nope. Buy a boost mobile Moto G6 play or Moto E5 play at walmart and call Sprint to add the IMEI to their database. Tell them you have a Motorola phone (do not mention it's a boost prepaid phone).
So, if I go to walmart and buy a boost G6 right now:

1. do I need to have boost unlock it?
2. Does sprint add the imei when I am signing up for the BYOD service, or is that a seperate call?

You don't need another sim card for Moto G6 Play.
You use the one that is already in the phone when you buy it.

I am trying to use Unlocked ATT Note 8 for this. When I checked through the sprint website eligibility, it shows my phone is eligible. However I am getting NO Service upon inserting the sim. The phone is unlocked from ATT, and has both Voice and LTE bands for Sprint. Any idea, why it shows NO SERVICE.

I also tried to put the same sim in my Verizon Galaxy S8 (unlocked), but it didn't work with that either.

Thanks for replying. Just found it's N950USQU1AQH7, which is 7 updates before N950USQU4xxxx. I am using it on cricket. Anyway I can update it directly to N950USQU4xxxx?
Quote from liveaslion :
I tried both ways. Somehow I am at 7.1.1 and it still shows that my software is uptodate. see the attached picture.
Anyone knows how I can update ATT Note 8 from the first update to recent one. Without that, I am not able to use sprint service (Brand Switching update by Samsung).

Hello
I have a Sprint LG Optimus G
Does anybody know if that phone can be used with this promotion.
The only catch with that phone is that it does not have a sim slot.

Thanks

You do not contact Boost and you do not do anything special re your second question. Just activate it normally, do not mention Boost, and do not ask any questions.

Check store stock in BrickSeek first before trying a Walmart.

Thanks. Completely missed that post. No BBY or ubreakifix near by. Phone is still under warranty. Can I simply flash by myself using ODIN? from Att website I found that the latest update needs previous build number to be installed. Does it same apply when I flash using ODIN or I can directly flash from the build number from last September to current one?
