I will do it (together or separately, either way as you guys suggest).

First, could someone please post to confirm that he is still doing it in recent days?

Thanks
Yep, helped me within hours yesterday.

OK thanks then I am confirmed all in on whatever anyone wants to do or suggest either jointly or separately as a gift or whatever. People are likely to trickle into this over time so maybe we should look for something that can build. I do not know if there is some sort of Amazon gift account that can be set up so people can contribute to it directly. Or maybe we should ask him? Not sure.

Daughter #1 signed up just over a year ago under her social security number for 1 year free Sprint BYOD deal that ends on July 31 of this year. My wife's phone is a second line on the same plan.

Daughter #2 was with Virgin Mobile for the past year. 5 days ago I purchased the SIM number on Ebay and ported Daughter #2 phone number from Virgin Mobile to T-Mobile per the Wiki and referenced post instructions. About an hour later Daughter #2 then ported her number to the one year free BYOD promotion with Sprint under her social security number and her credit check allows her to add up to 5 lines.

Can I now follow the same steps for Daughter #1 and wife?

(1) Port daughter #1 from Sprint to T-Mobile and an hour or so later port the same number back to Sprint on Daughter #2's account as an added line followed by

(2) Port wife from Sprint to T-Mobile and an hour or so later port the same number back to Sprint on Daughter #2's account as an added line?

Sprint should't request social security numbers for daughter #1 and wife when porting from T-mobile, correct?

Any issue with same names and phone numbers that were on a previous Sprint plan being added as extra lines on a new Sprint plan after having been ported out of Sprint less than 24 hours?
Sounds ok and you can do things within hours but I think it may arguably be somewhat safer to give it a day if you can because otherwise if something goes wrong and you lose track there can have a mess where number is in uncertain status. This happened to one person.

I imagine that you are aware that a branded phone must have been unlocked by the branded carrier as pointed out by hdiz :

but there it is just in case.

I feel stupid asking so many questions, but my intention is only to port in one phone right now and leave the other on VZW while I test out the service so that I can port back if necessary without a credit check, new account sign up, etc. Should I just remove one of the phones at this screen, or does it only matter that I do not complete the port in process (assuming that is asked later)? Do I have to port in the number I signed up with? I'd prefer to port in my secondary phone first, if possible.

When porting additional lines a week or so after opening an account with the first line on this promo, can it be done online...or is it best to call the phone number in the wiki?

no point in waiting your end date will be 9/30/19 no matter when you sign up currently. But the promo could end any time so the sooner the better.

Just an update on unlocking the Moto G6 Play---
One phone that has been on the Sprint plan for over 50 days is unlocked.
The other phone which 2 different people said was ok to unlock and they put it through has NOT been unlocked and it hasn't been on the plan for 50 days so there is some software that checks to make sure it's been on the plan for 50 days before it's unlocked. The last one I talked with checked and said oh yeah this phone has been on the plan longer then 50 days --no problem I will process it for the unlock and he did process for the unlock but it hasn't gone through. Maybe it will magically unlock on day 50. We will see.

Don't bother calling for the unlock prior to the 50 days! Not worth your time and no success on this end. The only reason I tried prior to the 50 days was to get the first one unlocked and figured it would be nice to have both of them unlocked at the same time and not to have to mess with it again.

I updated the steps to include the T mobile account details if it helps others. To your question, yes each phone line has its own pin for Tmobile pay as you go/prepaid.

1)First, have your Sprint account number and PIN ready.
2) Order the Tmobile prepaid/pay as you go SIM card from Amazon. Its around $8.95..Chose one day shipping and pay extra $5 to get it the next day.
3) You don't have to recharge/reload the SIM. Once receive the SIM, call Tmobile customer care and ask them to port your sprint number to Tmobile. Just give them your Sprint Acc. no, PIN , Phone number and T mobile SIM card number
4) Your number will be ported to T mobile in less than 5 minutes. Your Tmobile Account number will be your phone number prefixed by 1 Ex: 1 214-xxx-xxxx and the pin number will be the one that you setup initially during the porting or activation process.Note that for each line in Tmobile prepaid, it will be a separate account number i.e. the phone number of each line prefixed by 1 for that line. Again PIN number would be what you have set during number porting/activation for each line.
5) Wait for about an hour and Chat with Sprint Customer care and verify if your account is cancelled. Someone mentioned you can also check the status on sprint byod page with IMEI number.
6) Now call back sprint telesales number and port your Tmobile number to Sprint with a different SSN ( a family members)
7) After about 45 mins or so with all credit check etc done, you are good to go for another one year.
Anyone had done this process successfully?
I ported the number to Tmobile yesterday and setup 6 digit pins, because the CSR asked me for 6-10 digits during account setup. Now I tried to port it back to sprint, the Sprint CSR says the sprint system accepts only 4 digit pin. Anyone ran into this issue before?

Thanks

Numerous people do it all the time BUT there is lots of room for mixups:

First, try https://shop2.sprint.com/en/wlnp/check.shtml
which may allow you to manage the port yourself if you have set up your account.

Second, do not call Sales for port issues, call 866-437-1818 .

Night and weekends are a terrible time to deal with port issues because everybody on both sides of the port is shutting down but that's ok that's where we are. I have done night ports too and regretted the mistake as it took 3 hours to do what would take 5 minutes in the day time.

It is not Sprint that requires a given length pin, it is what length pin they believe TMO requires based on the type of account you told them you have at TMO.

Since you do know the actual length of the pin, insist they use it as is. They are just trying to check what you give them for plausibility but if you insist they will give in. I have been through that.

There are all sorts of mixups, among them:

- If you say it is TMobile and it actually T Mobile Prepaid, that can throw off their expectations as to pins
- TMO Prepaid has two different types of pin, 4 versus 6 digits. One is at the account level, one is a port pin. Sprint asks you which type of pin it is and wants an answer that matches what the pin length should be for that type of pin.
- TMO has two different account number systems

But just check the URL I gave and call the number I gave and they will sort it out (as long as they are still open).

If someone said what you quoted, they are indeed mixed up (their fault not yours) and you should do better just calling again and getting someone else.
