I have been interested in moving to Sprint for some time now so this promotion finally prompted me to make the move for two lines. I submitted my info online and then had to call to finish the process and I was DENIED!

My FICO credit score is over 800 and they could not tell me why. Said they would send a letter in a week. Not exactly upfront, so I cannot figure this one out.

My brother who has credit in the 600's moved to sprint last week (although he did not sign up for the free year promotion). Not sure what Sprint is thinking

I have seen a couple instances of this happening in this thread, but not sure how widespread this is. Anyone else having similar issue?
You do not have to wait for the letter. Call the credit department directly at 800-639-6116 and usually they will do it a different way and approve it. This is different from talking to them through Telesales.

i have been pleased with the "like new phones " i have bought from ebay seller

yywirelesss

look for
lg g5 (~85)
lg v20 (~120)
orbic wonder (~75)

or look for the boost moto g6play at walmrat for $80

i know lots of people having good things to say about boost phone

i personally would take a "like new" lg v20 over new boost g6 play..if price were similar..
The G6 play is pretty snappy. I put it on my kick-start plan. It runs better than my essential phone.

how do I ensure that my sprint account is closed? I have to reuse my own SS# after 45 days to get a second year free, so I'm closing my old account and moving my number to my girlfriend's account. my line has already changed ownership to be under her account...is that all I need to do?

I can still sign in and view bills on my old account, but when I click on something like "Usage" it brings up an error saying the account is not active. so I assume I'm good, and that my 45 days starts from when my number officially changed ownership?
It's closed but you can also call 888-211-4727 if you want to verify. If you enter your number it will tell you. I cannot guarantee exact dates - ask them at that number if you want to know.

You want used or new?
Preferably new but will get used if need be. He is very familiar with Apple products so that would be ideal but hard to find a good deal.

Thanks... I do want to ADD one more line making it total 3. Just called the call center and was told they don't have a firm end date for the promotion which is good since I am already in this program for last 8 months.... Going to 'port out' and port back under wife ssn, so here is one more question:
Should I add the 3rd line now and then 'port out' and bring all three back under wife ssn OR Renew (ie port out/in) the existing two under wife name and at that time add the 3rd line.

Lastly, what is the best way to port out for renewing one additional year?
Well I do not see the point of porting in and immediately porting out to the other account, so I would start off a new account with the added line and then move the other two over.

You do want to get then all consolidated under one SSN so that the 45 days starts counting down on the other SSN so that it is freed up to take advantage of any new offers that come along later.

Porting out and in is covered well by so many others and the wiki that I should not ,myself start over on that.

Has it been confirmed it can be activated on Sprint postpaid including this plan now?

In general Boost phones cannot/could not be in the past. Admittedly there have been a couple of exceptions but I have not seen anyone suggest all Boost phones can be used. E4 in particular is widely thought of as a prepaid phone.

I picked up a used Verizon iPhone 5c 16GB on eBay for about $50 and put it on the one year free plan. Young daughter loves it. I chose the Verizon version as it is compatible with not just Verizon, but Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T, as well.

Well, I've procrastinated again so I'm just going to run to Walmart and pick something up. Anyone have an easy in-out carrier/sim suggestion?

It does lack Sprint's high speed band.

In a strong signal area it should be fine.

never mind— I think I get it now. Everyone wants you To buy a plan. That's the appeal of porting out to T-Mobile.

There are indications from within Sprint that it has been extended but these indications are never 100% reliable (and have occasionally been wrong in the past in saying it was not going to be extended when it actually was extended).

I personally do not see any signs it will not be extended but that is a personal opinion.

It is already tomorrow in the Philippines so you can call them if you want and see what they say.
