Sorry I meant xx as in wildcard. It is portmaster708 . But I am sure quite a few are in the same ballpark.

Added a new line to existing plan on Sunday. Used a t mobile number from ebay.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Phone-nu...2749.l2649

The rep not only wanted account number, pin, and number, he wanted the name on account, last 4 of social, and address! Had to think fast so I used my info and it worked thank god, anyone else experience this ?

Yeah it's common with a few reps who have the philosophy to ask up front for anything that another carrier could possibly ask for just in case to avoid having to come back if they do. It is not necessary but I suppose it has helped them out in a few cases.

So my promo expires today. I just called to cancel one line that I don't need and plan to Port the other out. They said the line I canceled won't take effect til end of billing cycle which is 26 days from now. Could I port that out too to avoid charges?

Absolutely.
Why don't you port them both out right now.
Did they say it would otherwise be charged for the period to end of billing cycle?

yes I went to swappa and entered the MEID and it showed the full IMEI which is the same as the MEID (HEX) plus one last digit that I now know Smilie

Ok can you help me clarify something? When I buy this $3.25 digital SIM for TMobile AM I ALSO GETTING A PHONE NUMBER? I want a TMobile phone number as I don't have any phone number to port. So I don't want ONLY a Sim ICCID - I also want a phone number to go with it
The $3.25 digital sim should work for creating a new number or accepting port in.

Usually sprint doesn't pro rate last month even when porting out. Did your bill for the current cycle show up and was it still free + tax or was there partial(8-1 to 8-25) paid plan charges on it. I haven't seen any posts about having paid plan charges yet. So maybe as long as your bill cycle started before free plan expiration(7/31) then rest of bill cycle is free.

Oh well I spent the extra buck and should get a number straight up from this guy. I don't know what you guys mean about creating a new number but no worries now...

So once I get my number, then I just call the Sprint phone number and go to town with my IMEI right? I put the IMEI into the Sprint checker but with some random phone number and it rejected, but maybe it actually checks the phone number and I don't have one yet.

It does check the number to see if it could port it in but you can put in any valid non-Sprint phone number that could be ported in.

But even if it still reject the IMEI online I would still call as sometimes they can add it.

Ok so I guess my random sh&t digits I entered weren't a real phone number

I entered a KNOWN phone number (mine) and now it gives me that sweet sweet green checkmark for the ID.....

We shall see I guess
